“ And all the surrounding nations will ask,‘ Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why was he so angry?’

所看见的人，连万国人，都必问说：‘耶和华为何向此地这样行呢？这样大发烈怒是什么意思呢？’

万国必说：‘耶和华为什么向此地这样做呢？为什么要大发烈怒呢？’

万国必说：‘耶和华为什么向此地这样做呢？为什么要大发烈怒呢？’

万国必问，‘耶和华为什么要这样对待这地方？祂为什么大发烈怒？’

看见了这些的人和万国的人都要问：‘耶和华为什么向这地这样行呢？为什么大发烈怒呢？’

所看見的人，連萬國人，都必問說：『耶和華為何向此地這樣行呢？這樣大發烈怒是甚麼意思呢？』

萬國必說：『耶和華為甚麼向此地這樣做呢？為甚麼要大發烈怒呢？』

萬國必說：『耶和華為甚麼向此地這樣做呢？為甚麼要大發烈怒呢？』

萬國必問，『耶和華為什麼要這樣對待這地方？祂為什麼大發烈怒？』

看見了這些的人和萬國的人都要問：‘耶和華為甚麼向這地這樣行呢？為甚麼大發烈怒呢？’

這些看見的人、和萬國人必都說：「永恆主為甚麼這樣辦此地呢？這樣大的烈怒是甚麼意思呢？」

列邦人皆問曰、耶和華何為行此於斯土、其怒若是之烈、果何故乎、

俱必問曰、耶和華降罰於斯土、何為至於如此、其烈怒之甚、又曷故乎。

彼與列邦人皆必問曰、主何為如此待此地、其怒若是之烈何故、

All the nations will ask:“ Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why this fierce, burning anger?”

All the nations will ask,“ Why has the Lord done this to the land? What could have made him so very angry?”

all the nations will say,‘ Why has the Lord done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’

All the nations will ask,‘ Why has the LORD done this to this land? Why this intense outburst of anger?’

All the nations will say,‘ Why has the Lord done all this to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’

All nations would say,‘ Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’

even all the nations shall say, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?

All the nations will ask,‘ Why has the Lord done this to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’

Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what[ meaneth] the heat of this great anger?

Then all the nations will ask,“ Why has the LORD done all this to this land? What is this fierce, heated display of anger all about?”

Even all the nations will say,“ Why has Yahweh done this to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”

“ People from many nations will pass by the ruins of this city and say to one another,‘ Why did the Lord destroy such a great city?’And the answer will be,‘ Because they violated their covenant with the Lord their God by worshiping other gods.’”

And though this Temple is impressive now, all who pass by will be appalled and will gasp in horror. They will ask,‘ Why did the Lord do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?’“ And the answer will be,‘ Because his people abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the Lord has brought all these disasters on them.’”

And though this Temple is impressive now, all who pass by will be appalled. They will ask,‘ Why did the Lord do such terrible things to this land and to this Temple?’“ And the answer will be,‘ Because his people abandoned the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why he has brought all these disasters on them.’”

All who pass by jeer at you. They scoff and insult beautiful Jerusalem, saying,“ Is this the city called‘ Most Beautiful in All the World’ and‘ Joy of All the Earth’?”All your enemies mock you. They scoff and snarl and say,“ We have destroyed her at last! We have long waited for this day, and it is finally here!”But it is the Lord who did just as he planned. He has fulfilled the promises of disaster he made long ago. He has destroyed Jerusalem without mercy. He has caused her enemies to gloat over her and has given them power over her.

Not a king in all the earth— no one in all the world— would have believed that an enemy could march through the gates of Jerusalem.

But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

When you meet them and see their behavior, you will understand that these things are not being done to Israel without cause. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
