The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

论到锡安，必有话说：“这一个、那一个都出生在其中。”至高者必亲自坚立这城。

我要与你以及你世世代代的后裔确立我的约，作为永远的约，我要成为你和你后裔的神。

我必恢复你的审判官，像起初一样；也必恢复你的谋士，如起始一般；之后，你必被称为‘公义之城’、‘忠信之城’。”

神向亚伯拉罕应许的时候，因为没有比自己更大的可以指着起誓，就指着自己起誓，说：“我必定大大赐福给你，多多地增加你的子孙。”这样，亚伯拉罕恒久忍耐，就获得了神所应许的。人本来指着比自己更大的起誓；对他们，所起的誓就是了结一切争执的确据；为此，神想要对那些继承应许的人格外表明他的计划是不能更改的，就用所起的誓来保证。藉着这两件不能更改的事——在这些事上，神不可能说谎——使我们这些逃往避难所、抓住那摆在前面盼望的人，可以得到极大的鼓励。

不过主是信实的，他会坚固你们、保守你们脱离那恶者。
