敵來攻爾、主必使之為爾所敗、彼由一途來攻爾、必由七途逃於爾前、

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

Enemies will rise up against you. But the Lord will help you win the battle over them. They will come at you from one direction. But they’ll run away from you in every direction.

“ The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

有敵之者、使之敗北、有憾之者、降以災害兮、

希西家在猶大全地、悉循斯例、行善於耶和華前、真實無妄。在上帝殿供役事、遵律例、守禁令、崇上帝、皆誠心為之、爰得福祉。

邑中之兵齊出、埃人被以色列族前後夾攻、為所殺戮、靡有孑遺。

撒母耳獻燔祭時、非利士人至、攻以色列族、耶和華即起迅雷、轟擊非利士人、敗之於以色列族前。以色列族離米斯巴、追襲其後、擊之於伯甲。

耶和華使敵潰亂於以色列族前、在基遍降以大災、以色列族追之、至伯和倫岡、擊之在亞西加馬基大。敵方逃遁、下伯和倫岡、入亞西加時、耶和華自天降大雹擊敵、傷雹而死、較以色列族以刃殺者尤眾。

古實人西喇率軍百萬、車三百乘、至馬哩沙、攻猶大族。亞撒至馬哩沙、於西法大谷、陳列行伍、籲上帝耶和華曰、爾欲援我、民之多寡、力之強弱、無不可以之克敵、我之上帝耶和華歟、求爾助我、蓋我賴爾名、禦斯有眾、願上帝耶和華、毋許人勝爾。耶和華擊古實人、使為亞撒猶大族所敗、而遁。亞撒蒙耶和華佑、帥師追殺、至其臘、多獲輜重、古實之軍熸焉、其國幾不復振。其臘四境、慄慄危懼、畏耶和華不敢禦敵、故以色列族擊之、所獲不可勝計。破群畜之牢、得羊駝無數、歸耶路撒冷。

如其上帝弗鬻之、如耶和華未棄之、則一可襲千、二可驅萬。

列王諸地、悉為約書亞一時所取、蓋其上帝耶和華、助以色列族以戰。

耶和華必使爾為敵所敗、爾合一處而去、必分七途而遁、播棄於天下億兆之中。

亞撒行善為義、於其上帝耶和華前、棄異邦上帝之壇、廢崇坵、毀偶像、伐林木。命猶大族、宗事列祖之上帝耶和華、遵其律例、禁令。在猶大諸邑、廢崇坵、毀日像、國享平康。築城猶大地、耶和華既賜平康、干戈漸息。

撒母耳告以色列眾曰、如爾盡心歸耶和華、則他上帝及亞大綠、必絕於爾中、當備爾心、獨事耶和華、則彼援爾於非利士人手。以色列族遂去諸巴力及亞大綠、獨事耶和華。

甫頌讚時、耶和華發伏兵、攻猶大之敵、使亞捫摩押二族、及西耳山人、互相攻擊。蓋亞捫摩押二族、攻滅西耳山人、西耳山人既滅、二族自相殘害。猶大人登野中戍樓以望、尸相枕藉、敵眾靡有孑遺。約沙法率眾、得貨財、寶物甚多、剝尸又得財物、不能攜負、因貨財之多、三日取之、猶不盡。
