therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

So he will send enemies against you. You will have to serve them. You will be hungry and thirsty. You will be naked and poor. The Lord will put the iron chains of slavery around your necks until he has destroyed you.

therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.

“你去告訴哈拿尼雅說：‘耶和華這樣說：你折斷了木軛，卻要換來鐵軛。因為萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：我要把鐵軛套在這些國家的頸項上，使他們服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒；他們要服事他，連田野的走獸，我也交給他了。’”

“你要對那叛逆的民族說：‘你們不知道這些事是甚麼意思嗎？’你要告訴他們：‘看哪！巴比倫王曾到耶路撒冷來，把其中的王和眾領袖擄去，帶他們到巴比倫那裡去。

看哪！我要留意向他們降禍不降福；在埃及地所有的猶大人都必因刀劍和饑荒滅亡，直到滅絕。

“‘另有一隻大鷹，翅膀大，羽毛多；這葡萄樹從它栽種的苗床上，把樹根向這鷹彎過去，又向這鷹長出枝子，好得牠的澆灌。

耶和華再不能容忍你們邪惡的行為，和你們所行可憎的事；故此，你們的土地荒涼，成了令人驚駭、被人咒詛的對象，沒有人居住，好像今天一樣。

我曾對我的子民發怒，使我的產業被褻瀆，我把他們交在你的手裡，你卻對他們毫無憐憫。你竟把你的軛，重重壓在老年人的身上。

雖然這樣，他們仍必作示撒的僕人，好使他們知道，服事我和服事世上的列國有甚麼分別。”

說：‘主耶和華這樣說：有一隻大鷹，翅膀大，翎毛長，羽毛豐富，彩色繽紛，來到黎巴嫩，把香柏樹的樹梢取去；

他又對我說：“人子啊，我要斷絕耶路撒冷的糧食。他們要滿心憂慮，吃配給的口糧；十分驚惶，喝配給的水。他們缺糧缺水，各人都必驚惶，因自己的罪孽衰弱而死。”

“將來如果有人問：‘耶和華我們的神，為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？’你就要對他們說：‘你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的土地上事奉外族人的神，你們也要在不屬你們的土地上照樣服事外族人。’”

我心裡柔和謙卑，你們應當負我的軛，向我學習，你們就必得著心靈的安息；

我們口中說過的一切話，我們一定去作，我們要向天后燒香，澆奠祭，好像我們自己和我們的列祖，以及我們的君王和領袖，在猶大的各城和耶路撒冷的街上所行的一樣。那時我們吃得飽，得享福樂，不見災禍。但是，自從我們停止向天后燒香和澆奠祭以後，我們就樣樣都缺乏，又因刀劍和饑荒滅亡。”

我照著這一切話對猶大王西底家說：“你們要把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，服事他和他的人民，就可以生存。你和你的人民為甚麼要因刀劍、饑荒和瘟疫而死，正如耶和華論到不肯服事巴比倫王的國家所說的一樣呢？

因你自己的緣故，我賜給你的產業，你必失掉；我必使你在你不認識的地方，服事你的仇敵；因為你們惹起我的怒火，我的怒火必燃燒到永遠。”

他們在本國中，享受你賜給他們的大福，在你擺在他們面前這廣大肥沃的地上，卻不事奉你，不轉離他們的惡行。我們今天竟成了奴僕！就是在你賜給我們列祖享用其上果實和美物之地，我們竟在這地上作了奴僕！這地豐富的出產都歸給列王，就是你因我們的罪派來管轄我們的；他們也隨意管轄我們的身體和我們的牲畜；我們遭遇大患難。

我們的產業轉歸外人，我們的房屋歸給異族。我們成為孤兒，沒有父親，我們的母親好像寡婦一樣。我們所喝的水要用銀子買，我們的柴也付代價而得。我們被人追趕，頸項帶上重軛；我們疲乏，得不著歇息。我們臣服埃及和亞述，為要得著糧食充飢。
