The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven, and you will become a thing of horror to all the kingdoms on earth.

The Lord will help your enemies win the battle over you. You will come at them from one direction. But you will run away from them in every direction. All the kingdoms on earth will be completely shocked when they see you.

一人叱喝、則千人逃、五人叱喝、則爾盡遁、致爾曹所遺者、僅如山巔之望杆、岡上之號旗、

我必使天下萬國、加之凌虐惡待、使其被羞辱、被諷刺、被譏誚、被咒詛、在我所逐之之各處、

敵來攻爾、主必使之為爾所敗、彼由一途來攻爾、必由七途逃於爾前、

如彼問爾曰、我儕可往何處、爾則告之曰、主如是云、當死者就死、當亡於刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當擄者就擄、主又曰、我為之命定四災、刃以殺之、犬以囓之、飛鳥以噬之、野獸以滅之、又必使之受凌虐於天下萬邦、皆因猶大王希西家子瑪拿西、所行於耶路撒冷之事、耶路撒冷歟、孰矜恤爾、孰慰藉爾、孰問爾安、主曰、爾已棄我、背我而去、故我舉手擊爾、殲滅爾、難復矜恤、難復矜恤原文作我倦於矜恤我散之於地上各邑、若以簸簸穀、散其糠秕、殺其兒女、滅我民之國、彼猶彼猶或作因彼不悔改其行、使其嫠婦較海沙愈眾、使殘暴之人、日中來殺其母子、使之倏然驚駭恐懼、生七子之婦、悲哀慘慘、嗟歎難堪、幾乎絕氣、尚在白晝、其日已入、故懷慚抱愧、所遺之民、我必付於其敵之刃、此乃主所言、○

爾中遺民、居於敵國、我使之心驚膽怯、聞風吹葉、亦必逃遁、以為有敵人恃刃逐之、雖無人追襲、亦必傾跌、無人追襲時亦必逃遁、彼此衝突躓蹶、如有刃擊殺、爾不能立於敵前、

必使鋒刃饑饉疫癘窘迫之、使天下萬邦、加之凌虐、使天下萬邦加之凌虐或作必使之在天下萬邦流離無所必使之在我所逐之之各邦受咒詛、令人驚駭、被譏笑、受羞辱、

主如是云、爾曹不聽我、不願宣告釋爾同族同國之人、今我宣告爾、必使使或作任爾遭鋒刃、饑饉、疫癘、使爾受天下萬國之凌虐、

彼將死於刀刃、擄至諸國、耶路撒冷為異邦人所蹂躪、直至異邦人之期滿焉、
