When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin.

You will go across the Jordan River. When you do, six tribes will stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people. Those tribes are Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin.

She said,“ This time I will praise Yahweh.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped bearing.

All Israel, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, the foreigner as well as the native; half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.Afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.There was not a word of all that Moses commanded which Joshua didn’t read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.

Leah said,“ God has given me my hire, because I gave my servant to my husband.” She named him Issachar.

She named him Joseph, saying,“ May Yahweh add another son to me.”

As her soul was departing( for she died), she named him Benoni, but his father named him Benjamin.

Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you today;and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn away out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.It shall happen, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land that you go to possess, that you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal.
