Obey the Lord your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today.”

He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior;because it is written,“ You shall be holy; for I am holy.”

Therefore you shall love Yahweh your God, and keep his instructions, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments, always.

but your eyes have seen all of Yahweh’s great work which he did.Therefore you shall keep the entire commandment which I command you today, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land that you go over to possess;

Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul,to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good?

Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their gods; but we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.But you didn’t learn Christ that way,if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

“ Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and tell them,‘ You shall be holy; for I, Yahweh your God, am holy.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.
