He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.

He has announced that he will make you famous. He’ll give you more praise and honor than all the other nations he has made. And he has said that you will be a holy nation. The Lord your God has set you apart for himself. That’s exactly what he promised to do.

『因為你是聖別的子民、屬永恆主你的上帝的；從這地上萬族之民中、永恆主你的上帝是揀選了你屬於他做自己的子民。

『將來你若留心聽永恆主你的上帝的聲音，謹慎遵行他的一切誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的，永恆主你的上帝就必使你很高超、勝過地上的列國。

人必稱他們為聖民，為永恆主所贖回的；你也必稱為蒙找着的，不被撇棄的城。

你們要歸我做祭司之國，做聖別之邦」：這些話是你所應當對以色列人說的。』

但你們呢、你們乃是蒙揀選的族類，是王家的祭司班，是聖別的邦國，是子民做上帝產業的，要叫你們宣揚那召了你們出黑暗而進入他奇妙之光者的神德。

哪一個大國的人有神和他們這麼親近，像永恆主我們的上帝在我們呼求他時和我們這麼親近呢？又哪一個大國有這樣公義的律例典章、像我今日在你們面前所頒布的這一切律法呢？

你們也像活的石頭，被建造為屬靈之殿，做聖別的祭司班，好藉着耶穌基督來獻上上帝所悅納的屬靈祭物。

又從耶穌基督、那忠信的捨生作證者、死人中活起來的首生者、地上諸王的元首、得恩惠平安。他愛我們，用他的血解放了我們脫離我們的罪；又使我們成國為祭司、可親近他的父上帝。願榮耀權能歸於他、世世無窮！阿們。

這城必在地上萬國人面前使我得可喜可樂的名聲，得頌讚，得榮美，因為他們必聽見我向這城的人所賜的一切福樂；因我向這城所賜的一切福樂、一切平安興隆、列國的人都必恐懼戰兢。

看吧，那時我必懲辦一切苦待你的人；我必拯救那瘸着走路的，招聚那被趕散的；在羞愧中的我必使他們在全地上得稱讚、有名聲。

如果你謹守永恆主你的上帝的誡命、行他的道路、永恆主就必立你為屬他的聖民，照他向你所起誓過的。

又將環子戴在你鼻子上，將耳環戴在你耳朵上，將華冠戴在你頭上。這樣你就有了金銀的妝飾物；你穿的是細麻、絲綢、刺繡服裝；你喫的是細麵、蜜和油；你長得極其美麗之極，直發達到王后般的豔麗。你的名聲因你的美麗而傳出在列國中，因為由於我加在你身上的榮美、你的美麗乃十全十美：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

他使他人民的角得以高舉；使他所有堅貞之民——以色列人、跟他接近的人民——都頌讚他。哈利路亞！

他們必將你們的族弟兄從列國中送回來，或騎馬、或坐車、坐轎、或騎騾子、騎單峰駝，到我的聖山耶路撒冷，作為供物獻與永恆主，好像以色列人用潔淨的器皿將供物奉到永恆主殿中一樣；這是永恆主說的。永恆主說：就是從他們中間我也必取人為祭司、為利未人。

因為圍腰服怎樣緊貼着人的腰，永恆主發神諭說，我也怎樣使以色列全家和猶大全家緊貼着我，好叫他們屬於我為子民、使我得名聲、得頌讚、得榮美；而他們卻不聽。

永恆主必使你做頭不做尾，但居上不居下，如果你聽從永恆主你的上帝的誡命、就是我今日所吩咐你的，謹慎遵行，
