爾上帝耶和華、拯爾脫於四周之敵、俾得綏安、於其所賜為業之地、則必塗亞瑪力誌於天下、爾勿忘之、

及至主爾之天主助爾勝四周之敵、俾爾綏安在主爾天主所賜爾為業之地、或作及至主爾之天主脫爾於四圍之敵使爾安居在主云云則當塗抹亞瑪力名於天下、爾毋或忘、

When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!

The Lord your God will give you peace and rest from all the enemies around you. He’ll do this in the land he’s giving you to take over as your very own. No one on earth will mention the Amalekites ever again because you will destroy them. Do not forget!

Therefore when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies around you, in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget.

Therefore, when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies in the land he is giving you as a special possession, you must destroy the Amalekites and erase their memory from under heaven. Never forget this!

When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven. Do not forget.

So it shall come about, when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies in the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance to possess, that you shall wipe out the mention of the name Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget.

Therefore it shall be, when the Lord your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget.

Therefore it shall be, when Jehovah thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget.

When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven. Do not forget.

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee[ for] an inheritance to possess it,[ that] thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget[ it].

So when the LORD your God gives you relief from all the enemies who surround you in the land he is giving you as an inheritance, you must wipe out the memory of the Amalekites from under heaven– do not forget!

Therefore it shall be, when Yahweh your God has given you rest from all your enemies all around, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky. You shall not forget.

耶和華諭摩西曰、我將滅亞馬力族於天下、當載於簡、口誦之、俾約書亞聽聞。

蓋曰、因亞馬力手攻耶和華、故與之戰、歷世靡暨。

率眾擊亞馬力人、免以色列族為流寇所傷。

爾勿禱我、我盡滅之、塗抹其名於天下、我將使爾裔、較彼昌大眾多。

撒母耳告掃羅曰、我奉耶和華所遣、以膏沐爾、使為以色列民之王、今耶和華之命爾當聽從。萬有之主耶和華云、昔以色列族出自埃及、亞馬力人伏於途間、我常不忘。今可攻之、殲滅所有、毋加矜恤、男女、童稚、嬰孩、牛羊駝驢、悉當殺戮。掃羅集民於提拉忻、核其軍數、步卒二十萬、猶大人一萬。掃羅至亞馬力邑、伏於山谷。告基尼人曰、在昔我族出自埃及、爾待之良厚、故今勸爾速與亞馬力人相離、恐爾亦為我所滅。基尼人遂離之而去。掃羅擊亞馬力人、自哈腓拉及書耳道、埃及相向之所。生擒亞馬力王亞甲、其諸億兆、殲滅以刃。掃羅與民赦亞甲、惜牛羊及羔、其嘉者、其次者、暨凡合其意者、不滅之盡、惟鄙陋之物、悉被殲滅。耶和華諭撒母耳曰、掃羅違我、不遵我命、昔立之為王、今則悔焉。撒母耳甚憂、終夜禱耶和華。夙興欲迓掃羅、或告曰、掃羅至加密立柱、轉往吉甲。撒母耳就掃羅、掃羅曰、願耶和華錫嘏於爾、我已遵耶和華命而行。撒母耳曰、羊鳴牛吼、入於我耳、是何故與。掃羅曰、自亞馬力地、牽之而來、其牛羊之嘉者、民惜其牛、欲祭爾之上帝耶和華、其餘盡滅。撒母耳曰、勿語、待我以耶和華前夕諭我者、告爾。曰、願聞其詳。撒母耳曰、昔爾自視甚微、耶和華簡爾為支派之長、以膏沐爾、立為以色列族王。當耶和華遣爾之時、曾告爾曰、亞馬力族俱干罪戾、汝往攻之、必盡殄滅。何不聽耶和華命、乃作惡於其前、見敵所有、而行劫奪。掃羅曰、耶和華遣我、我果聽命、我至亞馬力、虜其王亞甲、盡滅其眾。所應滅之牛羊、民簡其佳者、欲在吉甲祭爾之上帝耶和華。撒母耳曰、耶和華豈以燔祭禮物為喜、不以聽從其命為喜乎。夫聽命較獻祭尤善、遵言較羊脂愈美。橫逆與卜筮之罪無異、抗戾與拜偶之咎相同。不聽耶和華命、故耶和華使爾國祚不永。掃羅曰、我誠有罪、我畏斯民、聽其言詞、故干犯耶和華及爾所命。求赦我罪、與我旋歸、待我崇拜耶和華。撒母耳曰、我不偕爾旋歸、爾不聽耶和華命、故爾為以色列王、耶和華使爾不永其祚。撒母耳旋踵以行、掃羅執其裾、裾絶。撒母耳曰。爾之同儔、較爾尤善、爾為以色列王、自今以後耶和華將絕爾國祚、以畀同儔。以色列族之赫赫上帝、異乎世人、不失其信、不回其志。曰、我雖犯罪、求爾於以色列族及長老前、尊崇我、偕我旋歸、待我奉事爾之上帝耶和華。撒母耳與掃羅歸、掃羅崇拜耶和華。撒母耳曰、亞馬力王亞甲、攜之以至。亞甲懽然而來、曰、死亡之苦、庶幾可免。撒母耳曰、爾以刃使眾人之母絶其嗣、故爾之母亦必喪其子。撒母耳在吉甲、於耶和華前、殺亞甲而剖其體。後往拉馬。掃羅歸其庇亞故土。撒母耳存日、不復往覲掃羅、緣之懷憂、耶和華既立掃羅為以色列王、亦有悔心、

惟爾武士、環攻其城、日恆一巡、周行其外、歷至六日、

王命既行、怒始息、昔哈曼立木、欲懸木底改、今反以自懸焉。

大闢與其僕從、侵基述人、其色人、亞馬力人、昔此族歷居斯土、凡欲往書耳埃及者、必由是道。

故以色列族服咒敗北、不得禦敵、如不以當獻之物出於爾中、我不復佑爾。

厥後王擢亞甲人、哈米達大子哈曼、使之位冠諸伯。

約書亞遣人趨幕、果在幕中、銀置於下。攜至約書亞、及以色列族、置於耶和華前。約書亞暨以色列族、取西喇孫亞干、與金銀衣服、及子女、牛羊、驢幕、與凡所有、至亞割谷。約書亞曰、爾何貽禍於我、今日耶和華必禍爾。時以色列族擊之以石、爇之以火、

其八人、亞捫人、亞馬力人、非利士人、爰及推羅居民兮。亞述一族、咸來和會、以輔翼羅得子孫兮。請爾令其敗北、若米田人、爰及西西喇耶賓、在基順之溪濱、敗亡於隱托耳、尸腐為糞壤兮、願喪其民牧、若阿立西邑、戕其君長、若西巴撒門拿兮、敵人自謂必據上帝之室兮、上帝兮、使彼若草芥、為風飄揚兮。如火焚於林、如焰燎於山兮、願爾追襲之、譬諸暴風、譬諸狂飆、使彼觳觫、使彼愧恥、輸誠服爾兮。如其不然、則喪厥志、令其敗亡、悚然駭懼、靡有底止兮、

耶和華使以色列族脫於諸敵、安居斯土、歷日已久、約書亞壽高年邁、

擊亞馬力族之遺民、而居其地、迄今猶在。

亦殺巴山大他、答本、押巴他、破喇他、亞大利、亞哩大他、巴抹大、亞哩賽、亞哩太、瓦耶撒大、皆哈曼之子、不取其貨財。

大闢與其僕從啟行、三日而至息臘、亞馬力人已侵南方、擊息臘而燬之。所有之婦女不殺一人、無論貴賤、悉擄以去。大闢與其僕從至、見城垣已燬、妻孥被虜、遂大聲號哭、至於力盡乃已。大闢二妻、耶斯烈地之女亞希暖、及曾適拿八加密地之女亞庇該、俱已被擄。民為子女、衷懷憂忿、欲石擊大闢、大闢悚懼、然恃其上帝耶和華而強厥志、謂祭司亞希米勒子亞庇亞塔曰、請攜公服以至。亞庇亞塔攜公服至。
