If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.

Suppose a man has just married his wife. Then don’t send him into battle. Don’t give him any other duty either. He’s free to stay home for one year. He needs time to make his new wife happy.

在你一生所有虚空的日子，就是神赐给你日光之下虚空的日子，你当与你所爱的妻一同享受人生。要知道，在日光之下的劳碌中，这就是你一生劳苦所得的份。

弟兄们，我要说这一点：时候不多了！从此有妻子的，要像没有妻子的；

至于对那些已经结婚的人，我吩咐——其实不是我，而是主吩咐：妻子不可离开丈夫；但如果还是离开了，就应当守身不嫁，或者与丈夫和好。丈夫也不可离弃妻子。对其余的人，我说——不是主说：如果某个弟兄有不信的妻子，而妻子情愿与他一起生活，他就不可离弃妻子；同样，如果妻子有不信的丈夫，而丈夫情愿与她一起生活，她也不可离弃丈夫，因为那不信的丈夫因着妻子就得以圣洁了；而那不信的妻子也因着丈夫得以圣洁了；否则，你们的儿女就是不洁净的；但如今他们是圣洁的。可是如果那不信的一方要离开，就让他离开吧。在这样的事上，那弟兄或姐妹就不受束缚了。不过神召唤了我们，是要我们和睦。

照样，丈夫也应该爱自己的妻子，就像爱自己的身体一样；那爱自己妻子的，就是爱自己。从来没有人恨恶自己的身体，总是保养、顾惜它，就像基督对待教会那样，
