Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Don’t take advantage of any hired worker who is poor and needy. That applies to your own people. It also applies to outsiders living in one of your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

“ Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.

“ Do not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether one of your Israelite brothers or one of the resident aliens in a town in your land.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:

You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages.

You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們，施行審判。我必速速作見證，警戒那些行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、剝削雇工工錢的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居者的和不敬畏我的人。」

欺壓貧寒人的，是蔑視造他的主；憐憫貧窮人的，是尊敬主。

欺壓貧寒人為要利己的，並送禮給有錢人的，都必缺乏。

「你們這些撒瑪利亞山上的巴珊母牛啊，當聽這話！你們欺負貧寒人，壓碎貧窮人，對主人說：『拿酒來，我們喝吧！』

他們把貧寒人的頭踐踏在地的塵土上，又阻礙困苦人的道路。父子與同一個女子行淫，以致褻瀆我的聖名。

「我的僕婢與我爭辯，我若藐視不聽他們的冤情，上帝興起的時候，我怎樣行呢？他察問的時候，我怎樣回答他呢？造我在母腹中的，不也是造了他嗎？在母胎中使我們成形的，豈不是同一位嗎？

困苦人赤身無衣，到處流浪，餓着肚子扛抬禾捆，他們在圍牆內榨油，踹壓酒池，自己卻口渴。

「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，手頭缺乏，你就要幫補他，使他與你一同生活，像外人和寄居的一樣。不可向他取利息，也不可向他索取高利；要敬畏你的上帝，使你的弟兄與你一同生活。你不可為了利息借錢給他，也不可為了高利而借糧。我是耶和華－你們的上帝，曾領你們從埃及地出來，為要把迦南地賜給你們，要作你們的上帝。「你的弟兄在你那裏若漸漸貧窮，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他像奴僕服事你。他在你那裏要像雇工和寄居的，服事你直到禧年。他和他兒女要離開你，一同出去，歸回自己的家，回到他祖宗的地業去。因為他們是我的僕人，是我從埃及地領出來的。他們不可被賣為奴僕。不可苛刻管轄他，只要敬畏你的上帝。

「你弟兄中，若有一個希伯來男人或希伯來女人賣給你，已服事你六年，到了第七年就要讓他自由離開你。你讓他自由離開的時候，不可讓他空手而去，要從你的羊羣、禾場、壓酒池中取一些，慷慨地送給他；耶和華－你的上帝怎樣賜福給你，你也要照樣給他。要記得你在埃及地作過奴僕，耶和華－你的上帝救贖了你。為此，我今日將這事吩咐你。他若對你說：『我不願意離開你』，因為他愛你和你的家，並且他在你那裏很好，你要拿錐子在門上穿透他的耳朵，他就永遠成為你的奴僕了。你待婢女也要這樣。你讓他從你那裏自由離開的時候，不要看作困難，因為他已服事你六年，相當於雇工雙倍的工錢。這樣，耶和華－你的上帝必在你所做的一切事上賜福給你。」

你那裏有輕慢父母的，在你當中有欺壓寄居者的，你那裏也有虧負孤兒寡婦的。

你們這些踐踏貧窮人、使這地困苦人衰敗的，當聽這話！

你們要住在那家，吃喝他們所供給的，因為工人得工錢是應當的；不要從這家搬到那家。
