Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Don’t take advantage of any hired worker who is poor and needy. That applies to your own people. It also applies to outsiders living in one of your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

“ Never take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Israelites or foreigners living in your towns.

“ Do not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether one of your Israelite brothers or one of the resident aliens in a town in your land.

“ You shall not exploit a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your strangers who are in your land in your towns.

“ You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether one of your brethren or one of the aliens who is in your land within your gates.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:

“ Do not oppress a hired hand who is poor and needy, whether one of your brothers or one of the foreigners residing within a town in your land.

You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages.

You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.

萬軍之永恆主說：『我必走近你們來行審判；我必做個敏捷果決的見證、來警戒行邪術的、犯姦淫的、起假誓的、在工價上欺壓雇工人的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、屈枉寄居的；而他們竟不畏懼我。

欺壓貧寒的、是辱沒了造他的主；恩待窮苦的是尊敬上帝。

為貧寒人作事的、必增加財利；送禮給富人的、只流於缺乏。

『在撒瑪利亞山的巴珊母牛啊，你們要聽這話！你們欺壓貧寒，壓碎窮苦，對你們的丈夫說：「拿來，我們喫喝吧！」

他們把貧寒人的頭踐踏在地面的塵土中，將卑微人的生路撥在一邊；人和他父親進去找同一個女子，以褻瀆我的聖名。

『我的奴僕或婢女與我爭訟時，我若藐視、不聽其情由，那麼上帝振起時、我怎樣辦呢？他鑒察時、我怎麼回答呢？那造我於母腹的、不也是造他麼？那將吾人摶於母胎的、不是同一位麼？『

窮人赤身無衣地流浪；食而不飽地扛抬禾捆；在惡人的橄欖樹行列間榨油，踹酒池，還覺得口渴。

『你的族弟兄若變成了貧乏，在你那裏手頭拮据，你就要支援他，讓他在你那裏生活、像寄居寄住的僑民一樣。你不可向他取利息，也不可向他要物品利息；只要敬畏你的上帝，讓你的族弟兄在你那裏生活。你把銀錢借給他、不可有利息，把糧食給他、也不可向他要物品利息。我永恆主是你們的上帝，曾把你們從埃及地領出來、為的是要把迦南地賜給你們、要做你們的上帝的。『你的族弟兄在你那裏若變成貧乏，將自己賣給你，你不可叫他作奴隸的工：他在你那裏要像雇工人和寄住者一樣；他要在你那裏服事你直到禧年；那時他可以從你那裏出來，他和他兒女跟他出來，回他本家，回他祖宗之地業那裏。因為他們是我的僕人，是我從埃及地領出來的，他們不能被賣去做奴隸。你不可用嚴酷的手段管轄他；只要敬畏你的上帝。

『你的族弟兄、一個希伯來男人或一個希伯來女人、若賣給你，他要服事你六年；第七年你就要送他自由離開你。你送他自由離開你的時候，可不要送他空手而去；要從你的羊羣、禾場、酒池中、給他滿載榮歸；永恆主你的上帝怎樣賜福與你，你就怎樣分給他。你要記得你在埃及地做過奴隸，永恆主你的上帝贖救了你；故此我今日將這件事吩咐你。他若對你說：「我不要離開你而出去」，而他說這話、是因為他愛你和你的家，因為他在你那裏很好，那麼、你就要拿錐子把他的耳朵在門上刺過去，他便永遠做你的奴僕。對你的婢女、你也要這樣行。他以雇工人雙倍的努力服事你六年；你一旦送他自由離開你，不要覺得難受；這樣，永恆主你的上帝就必在你所作的一切事上賜福與你了。

在你裏面有輕慢父親或母親的；在你中間有以欺壓手段待寄居者的；在你裏面有欺負孤兒寡婦的。

你們這些踐踏窮人，要使國中困苦人滅絕的啊，聽以下這話哦！

你們要住在那一家，喫喝他們所供給的；因為工人得酬報是應當的。不要從這家搬到那家。
