“ If a man is found sleeping with a married woman, then both of them shall die, the man who slept with the woman, and the woman; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel.

“如果有人与有夫之妇通奸，必须处死奸夫和淫妇，这样就从以色列除掉了罪恶。

人與有夫之婦同寢、為人所見、則姦夫淫婦俱致之死、以除惡於以色列中、

有與他人之妻同寢、為人所見、則淫夫淫婦俱必被殺、如是絕惡於以色列族中。

人若與有夫之婦同寢、為人所見、則以二人、即姦夫淫婦、一併治死、知是、除惡於以色列人中、

If a man is found sleeping with another man’s wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

Suppose a man is seen sleeping with another man’s wife. Then the man and the woman must both die. Get rid of those evil people.

“ If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.

“ If a man is discovered committing adultery, both he and the woman must die. In this way, you will purge Israel of such evil.

“ If a man is discovered having sexual relations with another man’s wife, both the man who had sex with the woman and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

“ If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them shall die— the man that lay with the woman, and the woman; so you shall put away the evil from Israel.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away the evil from Israel.

“ If a man is discovered having sexual relations with another man’s wife, both the man who had sex with the woman and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

‘ If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

So I will judge you as women who commit adultery or shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

and this water that brings a curse shall go into your stomach, to make your belly swell up and your thigh shrivel.” And the woman shall say,“ Amen, Amen.”‘ The priest shall then write these curses on a scroll, and he shall wash them off into the water of bitterness.Then he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that brings a curse, so that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness.And the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the woman’s hand, and he shall wave the grain offering before the Lord and bring it to the altar;and the priest shall take a handful of the grain offering as its reminder offering and offer it up in smoke on the altar, and afterward he shall make the woman drink the water.When he has made her drink the water, then it will come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness, and her belly will swell up and her thigh will shrivel, and the woman will become a curse among her people.

they* said to Him,“ Teacher, this woman has been caught in the very act of committing adultery.Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?”

But they, righteous people, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.“ For this is what the Lord God says:‘ Bring up a contingent against them and turn them over to terror and plunder.The contingent will stone them with stones and cut them down with their swords; they will kill their sons and their daughters and burn their houses with fire.
