他們要應聲申明說：「這血我們的手未曾使它流過，我們的眼也未曾看見過。

曰、我手未流此血、我目亦未之見、

稱曰、此人非我所殺、其死非我所見、

禱曰、我手未流此人之血、我目亦未見之、

and they shall declare:“ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it done.

They’ll say to the Lord,“ We didn’t kill that person. We didn’t see it happen.

and they shall testify,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it shed.

Then they must say,‘ Our hands did not shed this person’s blood, nor did we see it happen.

They will declare,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood; our eyes did not see it.

and they shall respond and say,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see who did.

Then they shall answer and say,‘ Our hands have not shed this blood, nor have our eyes seen it.

and they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.

They will declare,‘ Our hands did not shed this blood; our eyes did not see it.

And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen[ it].

Then they must proclaim,“ Our hands have not spilled this blood, nor have we witnessed the crime.

They shall answer and say,“ Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.

你流了掃羅全家的血，接續他作王，耶和華把這罪歸在你身上。耶和華將這國交在你兒子押沙龍的手中。看哪，你咎由自取，因為你是好流人血的人。」

耶和華－我的上帝啊，我若行了這事，若有罪孽在我手裏，我若以惡回報我的朋友，連那無故與我為敵的，我也救了他，

他所行的，有誰當面給他說明？他所做的，有誰報應他呢？然而他要被抬到墳地，並有人看守墓穴。他要以谷中的土塊為甘甜；人人要跟在他後面，在他前面去的無數。你們怎能以空話安慰我呢？你們的對答全都錯謬！」

祭司要叫婦人起誓，對她說：『若沒有人與你同寢，若你未曾背着丈夫做污穢的事，你就能免去這致詛咒的苦水。但你背着丈夫，玷污自己，跟丈夫以外的人同寢。』祭司叫婦人賭咒起誓，祭司對她說：『當耶和華使你大腿萎縮，肚腹腫脹時，願耶和華使你在你百姓中成為詛咒和咒罵；願這致詛咒的水進入你體內，使你肚腹腫脹，大腿萎縮。』婦人要說：『阿們，阿們。』「祭司要把這詛咒寫在冊上，然後用苦水塗去，又叫婦人喝這致詛咒的苦水，這詛咒的水要進入她裏面，令她痛苦。祭司要從婦人手中取那疑忌的素祭，把素祭在耶和華面前搖一搖，拿到祭壇前；又要從素祭中取出一把，作為紀念，燒在壇上，然後叫婦人喝這水。祭司叫她喝了以後，她若玷污自己，確實對丈夫不貞，這致詛咒的水必進入她裏面，令她痛苦，她的肚腹就要腫脹起來，大腿萎縮；這婦人就在她百姓中成為詛咒。這婦人若沒有玷污自己，是貞潔的，就要免受這災，並且能夠生育。

他的歲月既盡，他身後還顧他的家嗎？誰能將知識教導上帝呢？是他審判那些居高位的。有人至死身體強壯，盡得平順安逸；
