When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives,

You may use the plunder of your enemies, which Yahweh your God has given you.Thus you shall do to all the cities which are very far off from you, which are not of the cities of these nations.But of the cities of these peoples that Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes;

Yahweh gave them rest all around, according to all that he swore to their fathers. Not a man of all their enemies stood before them. Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.
