免彼教爾、效其行於諸神可惡之事、致獲罪於爾上帝耶和華、○

彼奉其上帝、行諸可惡之事、爾若則效之、即干犯爾之上帝耶和華。

免彼誘爾效其所為可惡之事、即拜其神所為之事、致爾獲罪於主爾之天主、○

Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.

If you don’t destroy them, they’ll teach you to do all the things the Lord hates. He hates the way they worship their gods. If you do those things, you will sin against the Lord your God.

that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the Lord your God.

This will prevent the people of the land from teaching you to imitate their detestable customs in the worship of their gods, which would cause you to sin deeply against the Lord your God.

so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable acts they do for their gods, and you sin against the LORD your God.

so that they will not teach you to do all the same detestable practices of theirs which they have done for their gods, by which you would sin against the Lord your God.

lest they teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

that they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so would ye sin against Jehovah your God.

so that they won’t teach you to do all the detestable things they do for their gods, and you sin against the Lord your God.

so that they cannot teach you all the abhorrent ways they worship their gods, causing you to sin against the LORD your God.

彼既滅於爾前、爾當慎之、勿受誘而從之、勿問其神、自謂斯族若何事神、我亦如之、爾事爾上帝耶和華、不可效之、蓋耶和華所憎之惡事、彼悉行之於其神、至以子女焚而獻之、

毋容其居爾土、恐使爾獲罪於我、若奉其神、必為爾之坎阱、

故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

彼必誘爾子、不從耶和華、而事他神、致耶和華震怒、滅爾甚速、爾當毀其壇、碎其柱像、斫其木偶、火其雕像、必如是待之、

而爾取其女妻爾子、其女狥欲從其神、使爾子亦狥欲從之、

勿受欺、濫交敗善行、

若有不從我此書之言者、則誌之、勿與交、使自愧、

民亦不遵耶和華命、滅絕異邦、乃與諸族雜處、習其行為兮、事其偶像、為己網羅兮、獻其子女、以祭鬼神兮、流無辜之血、即其子女之血、以祭迦南偶像、其地為血所污兮、緣其所行自污、所為徇欲兮、於是耶和華忿怒其民、厭惡己業兮、

毋與無實之暗行、寧責之、

則當確知爾上帝耶和華、必不復逐斯民於爾目前、彼必於爾為網羅、為機檻、脇下之鞭、目中之刺、迨爾滅亡、於爾上帝耶和華所賜之美地、

其言如瘡瘀而蔓延、有若許米乃腓理徒、彼失真理、言復起之事既往、致傾覆數人之信、

故我又曰、必不逐斯民於爾前、彼將為爾脇下之棘、其神將為爾擭、

及壞心志喪真理者之紛爭、彼以敬虔為利途也、

彼藉我名所傳之言、凡不聽從者、我必討之、

蓋萬邦因其淫亂干怒之酒而傾、世上諸王、與之行淫、諸商因其奢華之甚而致富、○我又聞有聲自天曰、我民乎、宜出乎彼、免與其罪而受其災、蓋厥罪滔天、上帝憶其不義、
