Give the people these orders:‘ You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be very careful.

Here are the orders I want you to give the people. Tell them,‘ You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives. They are from the family line of Esau. They live in Seir. They will be afraid of you. But be very careful.

and command the people,“ You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So be very careful.

Give these orders to the people:“ You will pass through the country belonging to your relatives the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. The Edomites will feel threatened, so be careful.

Command the people: You are about to travel through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so be very careful.

Instruct these people as follows:‘ You are about to cross the border of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who inhabit Seir. They will be afraid of you, so watch yourselves carefully.

Command the people, saying,‘ You are to pass through the border of your brothers, the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Therefore be careful.

摩西自迦鐵遣使至以東王、曰、爾之同族、以色列人言、我儕遘遇艱辛、爾知之矣。我祖往埃及、居彼日久、埃及人以患難加於我祖、爰及我儕、我呼籲耶和華、耶和華垂聽、遣使導我出埃及、今在迦鐵、爾國之疆隅也。盍容我過爾地、我不入田園、不飲井水、行由大道、不偏於左、不偏於右、以過爾境。以東人曰、毋過我壤、恐我以刃擊爾。以色列族曰、我行由大道、如我與牲畜飲爾之水、必償以金、惟欲徒行而去。曰、爾毋得過我疆宇。以東王率其全軍、大力以禦之、不許過其地、故以色列族轉向他途。○

以東諸伯必觳觫、摩押英豪必戰慄、迦南居民必喪膽。

以東人係爾同族、毋得銜憾、爾素旅於埃及、亦毋得銜憾。

毋間隙、毋駁雜、猶上帝子、處橫逆之境、無疵可議、反光燭於世、

如是、爾光當照乎人、俾見爾善行、歸榮爾天父焉、○

遂謂眾曰、慎戒勿貪、蓋人之生、不在所蓄之贏餘也、○

昔雅各家與以掃族、兄弟也、尚加以虐遇、故必抱愧、淪胥以亡、當日爾立於旁、見異邦人入其軍旅、入其邑門、為耶路撒冷人掣籤、爾若與同謀、向爾昆弟猶大、為人薄待、爾奚可旁觀、彼幾攖殺戮、爾奚可欣喜、彼備嘗困苦、爾奚可加以悔慢、我民遘難、所遭孔迫、爾奚可入其邑門、彼罹災害、爾奚可攘其貨財、

今我將歸、爾盍來前、此民至於季世、所以待爾民者、先以告汝。乃作歌曰、庇耳子巴蘭、既明其目、備聞上帝之言詞、能知至上之妙理、得睹全能之異象、身雖假寐、目則常啟、故振振有辭曰、我將見之、不在今日、我將觀之、不於目前、自雅各家將出明星、自以色列將秉大權、摩押之隅、悉為攻擊、示特之人、俱必喪亡。以色列族將施能力、勝其敵人、得以東西耳之地、

慎爾所行、以待會外之人、寸陰是惜、

慎所爾行、勿效無智、思齊有智、
