Do this so that innocent blood will not be shed in your land, which the Lord your God is giving you as your inheritance, and so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.

Do it to protect those not guilty of murder. Then you won’t spill their blood in your land. It’s the land the Lord your God is giving you as your own.

lest innocent blood be shed in your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, and so the guilt of bloodshed be upon you.

That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.

In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and guilt for bloodshed will not be on you.

就是高傲的眼、说谎的舌头、流无辜人血的手、

他们的脚奔跑行恶，他们急于流无辜人的血；他们的思想都是邪恶的思想，他们的行径全是破坏和毁灭。

“我有罪了！我出卖了无辜的人﹙“人”原文作“血”。﹚！”他们说：“这是你的事，跟我们有什么关系？”犹大把银子丢进圣所，然后离开，出去吊死了。

这样，你们就没有玷污你们所在之地，因为血能玷污地；在地上如果有流人血的，除非流那故意杀人者的血，那地的血就不能得赎。

他们就呼求耶和华，说：“耶和华啊！我们恳求你，不要因这人叫我们丧命；不要把无辜人的血归在我们身上，因为你耶和华是照自己所喜悦的行事。”

你的眼睛不可顾惜他，却要把流无辜人的血的罪从以色列中除掉，好使你平安无事。

“在耶和华你的神赐给你作产业的地上，如果发现有被杀的人，倒卧在田野，又不知道是谁杀死他的，这样，你的长老和审判官就要出去，量一下从被杀的人那里到四周城市的距离。看看哪一座城离那被杀的人最近，那城的长老就要从牛群中取一只母牛犊，就是还没有耕过地、没有负过轭的。那城的长老要把母牛犊牵下去，到一个有活水长流的山谷，就是未曾耕种过、未曾撒过种的地方，在那里要打折母牛犊的颈项。利未支派的祭司的子孙要上前来，因为耶和华你的神拣选了他们事奉他，奉耶和华的名祝福。一切争讼和一切殴打的事，都要凭他们的话决定。那城所有的长老，就是离那被杀的人最近的，都要在山谷中，在被折断颈项的母牛犊以上洗手。他们要声明，说：‘我们的手未曾流过这人的血，我们的眼也未曾看见这事。耶和华啊，求你赦免你的子民以色列，就是你救赎的，不要使流无辜人的血的罪归在你的子民以色列中间。’这样，他们流人血的罪就得到赦免了。如果你行耶和华看为正的事，就可以从你中间除掉流无辜人的血的罪了。

王对比拿雅说：“你照着约押的话行吧！杀死他，把他埋葬，好叫约押所流无辜人的血，从我和我父的家除去。

如果你们不欺压寄居的，不欺压孤儿寡妇，不在这地方流无辜人的血，也不跟从别的神，自招祸患；我就让你们在赐给你们列祖直到永远的这地方居住。

埃及将会荒凉，以东必变成凄凉的旷野，都因为他们向犹大人所行的强暴，又因为在他们的国中流了无辜人血。

此外，玛拿西又流了许多无辜人的血，耶路撒冷，从这边直到那边，都满了血。这还是在他使犹大人犯罪，去行耶和华看为恶的事那罪之外。

又因着他所流无辜人的血，他使耶路撒冷满了无辜人的血，耶和华决不赦免。

他们集结起来攻击义人，把无辜的人定了死罪。
