“‘不过，如果有先知擅自奉我的名，说我没有吩咐他说的话，或是奉别神的名说话，那先知就必须处死。’

若有先知擅敢託我的名說我所未曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必治死。』

若有先知擅自奉我的名說了我未曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必處死。』

但先知擅藉我名、言我所未嘗諭者、或藉他上帝之名而言、則必死亡。

如有先知擅藉我名、言我所未命其宣傳之言、或藉異邦之神而言、彼先知當誅、

But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

But suppose a prophet dares to speak in my name something I have not commanded. Or he speaks in the name of other gods. Then that prophet must be put to death.”

“你中间若有先知或是做梦的人起来，向你显神迹奇事，他对你说的神迹奇事应验了，说：‘我们去随从别神，事奉它们吧。’那是你不认识的。你不可听那先知或是那做梦之人的话，因为这是耶和华—你们的神考验你们，要知道你们是否尽心尽性爱耶和华—你们的神。你们要顺从耶和华—你们的神，敬畏他，谨守他的诫命，听从他的话，事奉他，紧紧跟随他。那先知或那做梦的人要被处死，因为他出言悖逆那领你们出埃及地、救赎你脱离为奴之家的耶和华—你们的神，要引诱你离开耶和华—你神吩咐你要行的道。这样，你就把恶从你中间除掉。

若还有人说预言，生他的父母必对他说：‘你不得存活，因为你假借耶和华的名说谎话。’生他的父母在他说预言时，要将他刺死。

我在撒玛利亚的先知中曾见狂妄的事；他们藉巴力说预言，使我的百姓以色列走迷了路。我在耶路撒冷的先知中曾见恐怖的事；他们犯奸淫，行虚谎，又坚固恶人的手，无人回转离开自己的恶行。他们在我面前都像所多玛，耶路撒冷的居民都像蛾摩拉。因此，万军之耶和华论到先知如此说：“看哪，我必使他们吃茵陈，喝苦水；因为亵渎的事出于耶路撒冷的先知，遍及各地。”

以利亚对他们说：“拿住巴力的先知，不让任何人逃走！”众人就拿住他们。以利亚带他们到基顺河边，在那里杀了他们。

耶和华说：‘我并未差遣他们，他们却托我的名传假预言，使我将你们和向你们说预言的那些先知赶出去，一同灭亡。’”

但这些人好像没有理性的牲畜，生来就是要被捉拿宰杀的。他们毁谤自己所不知道的事，正在败坏人的时候，自己也遭遇败坏，

于是耶利米先知对哈拿尼雅先知说：“哈拿尼雅啊，你应当听！耶和华并没有差遣你，你竟使这百姓倚靠谎言。所以耶和华如此说：看哪，我要把你从地面上除掉，你今年必死，因为你向耶和华说了叛逆的话。”这样，哈拿尼雅先知当年七月间就死了。

耶和华对我说：“那些先知托我的名说假预言，我并未差遣他们，没有吩咐他们，也没有对他们说话；他们向你们预言的是虚假的异象、占卜、虚无，以及心中的诡诈。所以耶和华如此说：‘论到托我名说预言的那些先知，我并未差遣他们；他们说这地不会有刀剑、饥荒，其实那些先知自己必被刀剑、饥荒灭绝。

到了正午，以利亚嘲笑他们，说：“大声求告吧！因为它是神明，它或许在默想，或许正忙着，或许在路上，或许在睡觉，它该醒过来了。”

祭司从来不问：‘耶和华在哪里呢？’传讲律法的不认识我，官长违背我，先知藉巴力说预言，随从无益的东西。”

那兽被擒拿了；那在兽面前曾行奇事、迷惑了接受兽的印记和拜兽像的人的假先知，也与兽同被擒拿。他们两个就活生生地被扔进烧着硫磺的火湖里，

他们看见的是虚假，是谎诈的占卜，说是耶和华说的；其实耶和华并没有差遣他们，他们却指望那话必站立得住。

现在你要派人去召集以色列众人，以及耶洗别所供养的四百五十个巴力的先知和四百个亚舍拉的先知，叫他们都上迦密山到我这里来。”

那些先知用自己的舌头说是耶和华说的；看哪，我必与他们为敌。这是耶和华说的。
