Although Levi has no inheritance among his brothers, the LORD is his inheritance, as he promised him.

They shall have no inheritance among their fellow Israelites; the Lord is their inheritance, as he promised them.

They won’t have any part of the land the Lord gave the other tribes in Israel. The Lord himself is their share, just as he promised them.

The LORD is my portion; I have promised to keep your words.

you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I say,“ The LORD is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in him.”

For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.

LORD, you are my portion and my cup of blessing; you hold my future.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by his blood,and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father— to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield; your reward will be very great.
