so that the Levites( who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Then the Levites can come and eat. That’s because they won’t receive any part of the land as their share. The outsiders and widows who live in your towns can come. So can the children whose fathers have died. Everyone can have plenty to eat. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

Give it to the Levites, who will receive no allotment of land among you, as well as to the foreigners living among you, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, so they can eat and be satisfied. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all your work.

爾當給之、濟之之時、不可不出乎樂意、蓋為此故主爾之天主、必在爾諸事與凡爾手所作者、賜福於爾、

矜憫貧人、即如貸金於主、所給者必償、

顧恤貧窮者、此人便為有福、在患難時、必蒙主拯救、

守節期之時、爾與子女奴婢、及居於爾邑之利未人、客旅孤寡、俱必歡樂、

爾於田間刈禾、若忘一束在田、勿返以取之、當留於客旅孤寡、則於凡爾所為、主爾之天主必賜福於爾、爾撲油果樹、枝有遺果、不可再撲、當留於客旅孤寡、爾摘葡萄園之果、不可再摘所遺者、當留於客旅孤寡、

勿忘款待客旅、曾有款待客旅者、不自知其所款待者為天使、

爾與子女奴婢、及居爾邑中在爾間無分無業之利未人、俱喜樂於主爾天主之前、

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、勿請朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼亦請爾、而爾受其報、惟爾設饌、當請貧乏、殘廢、跛者、瞽者、則爾福矣、蓋彼不能報爾、而至義人復活時、爾必得報、○

何曾使貧者不得所願、使嫠婦不得所望、何曾獨食我餐、何曾不使孤子與我同食、我自幼收養孤子、如為其父、自出母胎後、顧恤嫠婦、我若見淪落人無衣、見窮乏人無服蔽體、我何曾不衣其身、不以我羊綿暖其體、遂為我祝福、何曾在公庭、公庭原文作城門見有輔助我者、即欺壓孤子、如我有此、願我肩自缺盆骨而脫、我臂自羊矢骨而折、

有散財者反增添、有惜財過度者反致貧乏、

由爾貲財獻禮物於主、並薦土產之初實者、以此敬主、則爾之倉廩必得充盈、爾之壓酒處新酒必流溢、

分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、則爾之光明、必發如晨光、爾速得醫治、爾之仁義、護爾於前、主之榮光、護爾於後、其時爾祈禱、主必應允、爾呼籲、主必云、我在此、如爾於爾中除壓人之軛、不指摘、不妄言、向饑餓者發仁心、使困苦者得滿其志、則爾光必發於暗、爾暗必變如日午、主恆導爾以行、在旱乾時、使爾滿志、使爾筋骸堅固、使爾如灌溉之園囿、如永不竭之泉源、由爾所出者、必復建久已荒蕪之所、復築累代傾圮之基、爾必稱為彌補罅隙者、修理道途者、使民得居境內、

寄居爾中之外邦客旅、當視如土著、愛之若己、因爾於伊及地亦曾為客旅、我乃主爾之天主、

蓋少種者少穫、多種者多穫、各當隨心所願、勿憂勿強、蓋樂施者天主所愛也、天主能以諸恩廣施於爾、使爾凡事恆足、可多行諸善、如經載云、彼散財濟貧、其義永存、天主賜種於播者、賜糧於食者、願其賜爾多種以播、增爾行義之果、賜爾凡事富足、得以博施、我集而散之、使受之者謝天主、

每至三年、即輸什一之年、凡諸土產、什輸其一畢、以給利未人及客旅孤寡、使於爾邑中食之而飽、則當於主爾之天主前敬告曰、我已以聖物出於我家、給利未人與客旅孤寡、循主所諭我、主之命令、我未干犯、亦未遺忘、

惟眷顧孤寡於患難間、且自守不為世俗所染、是誠虔敬、純潔無疵、於我父天主前、或作在我父天主前純潔無疵之虔敬即眷顧孤寡於患難且自守不為世俗所染

惟盡力施濟、或作取盛於杯盤者以施於人則於爾無不潔矣、

毋欺外邦客旅、毋凌虐之、因爾在伊及國、亦曾為客旅、毋欺凌孤寡、若欺凌之、則呼籲我、我聽其呼籲、必將震怒、使爾為刀所殺、原文作我以刀誅爾使爾妻為寡、爾子為孤、○

惟爾愛敵而善待之、借與人而不望償、則爾之賞大、且將為至上者之子、蓋彼施仁於負恩與不善者、

萬有之主曰、爾以所當納之什一、悉入於倉庫、使我室有糧、以是試我、觀我果否觀我果否或作待我為爾啟天之窗、使福傾注於爾曹、豐盈富餘、不可勝數、不可勝數原文作致無處足以容之萬有之主曰、我必因爾之故、責彼蝗蟲、蝗蟲原文作吞噬者使不壞爾之土產、亦使爾田之葡萄樹、不先期落果、
