要把这座城和城里所有的东西毁灭，作为献给耶和华之物。只有妓女喇合和她家中所有的人可以活命，因为她曾把我们派去的探子隐藏起来。你们要小心，不可私拿任何应当毁灭的东西，免得你们自取灭亡，并给以色列全营带来灾祸。要把所有的金银和铜铁器皿分别出来献给耶和华，放进耶和华的库房里。”于是，民众听到号角声时，就高声呐喊，城墙便坍塌了。民众便一拥而上，占领了耶利哥城，用刀杀了城里所有的男女老少、牛羊和驴。

以色列人烧毁全城和城内一切的东西，只把金银和铜铁器皿放在耶和华的库房里。

我们攻占了西宏的所有城邑，将其夷为平地，杀光城中的男女老幼，一个不留，

因为祂的审判真实公义，祂惩罚了那用淫乱败坏世界的大淫妇，为那些被她杀害的奴仆申冤。”他们又欢呼说：“哈利路亚！焚烧大淫妇的烟不断上腾，直到永永远远。”

怪兽和它头上的十角必憎恨那淫妇，使她赤身露体、景况凄凉。它们要吃她的肉，最后用火将她烧尽。

看见烧她的烟，就说，‘有哪一座城能与她相比呢？’他们又把尘土撒在头上，哀伤哭泣，喊着说，“‘这大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！所有经营航运的都因她的奢华而发了财，可是顷刻间她却沦为废墟了！’上天啊，众圣徒、众使徒和众先知啊，为她的下场欢乐吧！因为上帝已经向她施行报应，为你们申冤了。”这时，有一位大力天使举起一块像大磨石的石头扔进海里，说：“巴比伦大城也必这样被用力扔下去，消失得无影无踪。在你那里，再也听不见弹琴作乐、鸣笛吹号的声音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也听不到推磨的声音了，再也看不到闪耀的灯光了，再也听不见新婚夫妇的欢笑声了。因为你的商人曾经趾高气扬，你的邪术曾经迷惑万国，你的城墙内流满了众先知、众圣徒和地上一切被杀之人的血。”

不可叩拜他们的神明，不可供奉它们，也不可效法他们的行为，要彻底拆毁神像，打碎他们的神柱。
