拒绝遵守祂的律例和祂与他们祖先所立的约，无视祂的警告。他们随从虚无的偶像，自己也变得虚无。他们违背耶和华的命令，去效法周围的外族人。他们把他们的上帝耶和华的诫命抛诸脑后，铸造了两个金牛犊，还造了亚舍拉神像。他们祭拜巴力和天上的万象，把自己的儿女烧死献作祭物。他们占卜，行邪术，出卖自己去做耶和华视为恶的事，惹祂发怒。

你们不可按照他们的方式敬拜你们的上帝耶和华。

我要借此制止你从埃及染上的淫乱和放荡，使你不再向往埃及。

“你们进入你们的上帝耶和华将要赐给你们的土地后，不可仿效当地民族的可憎行径。你们当中不可有人焚烧自己的子女作祭物，不可有人占卜、算命、作法、行邪术、

你们能占领他们的土地并非因为你们公义、行为正直。你们的上帝耶和华从你们面前赶走那些民族，是因为他们邪恶，也是为了实现祂给你们祖先亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。

你们必须遵守我的律例和典章。不论你们还是寄居在你们中间的外族人，都不可做这些可憎之事。因为在你们之前居住在那里的人做了这些可憎之事，玷污了那片土地。如果你们玷污了那片土地，它也会像吐出从前的居民一样把你们吐出去。凡做这些可憎之事的，要将他从民中铲除。你们要遵守我的命令，不要效法那片土地上居民的恶俗，以致玷污自己。我是你们的上帝耶和华。”

他做耶和华视为恶的事，效法耶和华在以色列人面前赶走的外族人的可憎行径。

所有祭司长和民众也都仿效外族人的一切可憎行径，犯了大罪，玷污了耶和华在耶路撒冷使之圣洁的殿。

耶和华会喜爱成千的公羊和万条油河吗？我要因过犯而献上自己的长子，因心中的罪恶而献上亲生的骨肉吗？

不可把儿女当作祭物献给假神摩洛，不可亵渎你上帝的名。我是耶和华。

“你把以下条例告诉以色列人。“在你们或寄居在你们中间的外族人中，如果有人把子女献给假神摩洛，必须处死他，当地的人要用石头打死他。

他做耶和华视为恶的事，效法耶和华在以色列人面前赶走的外族人的可憎行径。

你们至今仍把自己的儿子烧作祭物献给偶像，玷污自己吗？以色列人啊，我会让你们求问吗？主耶和华说，我凭我的永恒起誓，我决不让你们求问。
