Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.

You will soon drive the nations out of it. Completely destroy all the places where they worship their gods. Destroy them on the high mountains, on the hills and under every green tree.

並在邱壇上、山岡上、各青翠樹下獻祭燒香。

你們卻要這樣待他們：拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶，用火焚燒他們雕刻的偶像。

他們雕刻的神像，你們要用火焚燒；其上的金銀，你不可貪圖，也不可收取，免得你因此陷入網羅；這原是耶和華－你神所憎惡的。可憎的物，你不可帶進家去；不然，你就成了當毀滅的，與那物一樣。你要十分厭惡，十分憎嫌，因為這是當毀滅的物。」

約西亞王在位的時候，耶和華又對我說：「背道的以色列所行的，你看見沒有？她上各高山，在各青翠樹下行淫。

在各高岡上、各青翠樹下立柱像和木偶；在邱壇上燒香，效法耶和華在他們面前趕出的外邦人所行的，又行惡事惹動耶和華的怒氣；

你要謹慎，不可與你所去那地的居民立約，恐怕成為你們中間的網羅；卻要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶。不可敬拜別神；因為耶和華是忌邪的神，名為忌邪者。只怕你與那地的居民立約，百姓隨從他們的神，就行邪淫，祭祀他們的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，又為你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，他們的女兒隨從她們的神，就行邪淫，使你的兒子也隨從她們的神行邪淫。「不可為自己鑄造神像。

「你吩咐以色列人說：你們過約旦河進迦南地的時候，就要從你們面前趕出那裏所有的居民，毀滅他們一切鏨成的石像和他們一切鑄成的偶像，又拆毀他們一切的邱壇。

因為我領他們到了我起誓應許賜給他們的地，他們看見各高山、各茂密樹，就在那裏獻祭，奉上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裏焚燒馨香的祭牲，並澆上奠祭。我就對他們說：你們所上的那高處叫甚麼呢？（那高處的名字叫巴麻直到今日。）

從前以色列王所羅門在耶路撒冷前、邪僻山右邊為西頓人可憎的神亞斯她錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹、亞捫人可憎的神米勒公所築的邱壇，王都污穢了，

在各山頂，各高岡的橡樹、楊樹、栗樹之下，獻祭燒香，因為樹影美好。所以，你們的女兒淫亂，你們的新婦行淫。

你不可跪拜他們的神，不可事奉他，也不可效法他們的行為，卻要把神像盡行拆毀，打碎他們的柱像。

到了早晨，巴勒領巴蘭到巴力的高處；巴蘭從那裏觀看以色列營的邊界。

你們也不可與這地的居民立約，要拆毀他們的祭壇。你們竟沒有聽從我的話！為何這樣行呢？』
