基督之道、充塞爾中、懷厥智慧彼此勸誨、以詩章、歌頌、神賦、虔心頌主、

我今日所命爾者、當存於心、黽勉誨子、處於室、行於途、或寢或興、恆以此為訓。以其箴言、繫於手、服於顙、銘於橛、書於門、以為記錄。

爾小子、宜守父命、毋違母儀。謹佩於心、繫之於項。行時則導爾、寢時則保爾、寤時則語爾。是父母之命、照爾若輝光之燭、責善之言、導爾入生命之途。

曰我今日告爾之言、汝必藏諸衷曲、亦當諭諸子孫、從此律法。

耶和華以大能導我出埃及、故我必錄於手、服於顙。

故尤當務所聞之道、惟恐或遺、

其行事、欲以見於人而為之、且闊其佩經、大其衣裾、
