That is why the Levites have no share or inheritance among their fellow Israelites; the Lord is their inheritance, as the Lord your God told them.)

“‘祭司不可在以色列拥有自己的产业，因为我就是他们的产业。

“利未祭司及其他利未支派的人在以色列不可拥有土地。他们吃的是献给耶和华的火祭，那是他们的产业。他们在众支派中没有自己的产业，因为耶和华是他们的产业，这是祂的应许。

摩西在约旦河东已经把产业分给了吕便、迦得支派和玛拿西半个支派，只是没有把产业分给利未人。

利未人中一个月以上的男性共登记了两万三千人，他们的人数没有登记在以色列人中，因为他们在以色列人中不分产业。

耶和华对亚伦说：“你在以色列人将得之地不可有产业，不可有份于他们的财产，因为我是你在以色列人中的所得之份，是你的产业。“我要把以色列人出产的十分之一赐给利未人作产业，作为他们在会幕司职的酬劳。今后以色列人不可走近会幕，以免因犯罪而死。只有利未人可在会幕司职，他们要担负触犯圣幕的罪责，这是你们世世代代要遵守的条例。利未人在以色列人中不可有产业，因为我已经把以色列人给耶和华的十分之一出产赐给他们作产业。因此，我吩咐他们不可在以色列人中有产业。”
