要將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。要用淨金作除罪蓋，長二肘，寬一肘半。要用金子作兩個基路伯，用錘的法子來作，在除罪蓋的兩頭。這頭作個基路伯，那頭作個基路伯，兩個基路伯要和除罪蓋相連地製造、在蓋的兩頭。兩個基路伯要高張着翅膀，用它們的翅膀遮掩着除罪蓋；基路伯的臉要彼此相對；它們的臉要朝着除罪蓋。你要將除罪蓋安在櫃的上邊，又將我所要賜給你的證言法版放在櫃裏。我要在那裏和你相會，也要從除罪蓋的上邊、從法櫃上兩基路伯之間、將我所要吩咐你傳給以色列人的一切事和你講說。

約櫃裏只有兩塊石版，就是以色列人出埃及地以後、永恆主同他們立約的時候、摩西在何烈山所安放在那裏的：除此以外、並無別物。
