And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

And now, Israel, what is the Lord your God asking you to do? Honor him. Live exactly as he wants you to live. Love him. Serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (niv)

Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. (niv)

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today— to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— (niv)

“ The most important one,” answered Jesus,“ is this:‘ Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this:‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”“ Well said, teacher,” the man replied.“ You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” (niv)

Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. (niv)

We love because he first loved us.Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (niv)

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. (niv)

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.It teaches us to say“ No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, (niv)

“ If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, (niv)

I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me. (niv)

and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (niv)

But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” (niv)

“ Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve him shoulder to shoulder. (niv)

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers. (niv)

Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. (niv)

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, (niv)

If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment. (niv)

The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. (niv)

Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God. (niv)

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. (niv)

“ Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone. (niv)
