But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.

But Joshua, the son of Nun, is your helper. Joshua will enter the land. Help him to be brave. Give him hope. He will lead Israel to take the land as their own.

Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall enter. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

Instead, your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will lead the people into the land. Encourage him, for he will lead Israel as they take possession of it.

Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance.The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (niv)

These are the names of the men Moses sent to explore the land.( Moses gave Hoshea son of Nun the name Joshua.) (niv)

The Lord gave this command to Joshua son of Nun:“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you.” (niv)

The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. (niv)

Moses said to Joshua,“ Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill.As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up— one on one side, one on the other— so that his hands remained steady till sunset.So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.” (niv)

For the Lord had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. (niv)

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their presence.Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole assembly.Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the Lord instructed through Moses. (niv)

Then Moses set out with Joshua his aide, and Moses went up on the mountain of God. (niv)

Of the men who went to explore the land, only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh survived. (niv)

The Lord said to Moses,“ Now the day of your death is near. Call Joshua and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, where I will commission him.” So Moses and Joshua came and presented themselves at the tent of meeting. (niv)

Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying,“ Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him.” (niv)

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: (niv)

Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank. (niv)

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.“ Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (niv)
