以色列族不遵其上帝耶和華命、背其約、不聽從其僕摩西所傳之禁令、故遘此災。○

爾臣僕諸先知、藉爾之名、告我王公祖父國民之語、我不聽從、

我上帝歟、方命之罪、我不敢諉、昔爾命臣諸先知告我云、爾所欲據之地甚不潔、因斯民作不善、四境皆然、以此污衊。

伊昔上帝、以多方托先知、數諭我祖、今值季世、使其子諭我、

耶和華遣其先知先見者、責以色列猶大二族、曰、當棄惡行、守我禁令禮儀、從我所命諸先知、傳爾列祖之律例、斯民弗聽、強項不馴、不信其上帝耶和華、與列祖無異。昔上帝與列祖立約、斯民背之、棄其所命、違其禮儀、崇事虛無、亦為放誕、四周之異邦人、耶和華曾命、勿效其尤、彼不聽從、反崇信焉、

爾降臨於西乃山、自天諭民、賜以典章、律例、禁令、禮儀、俱真實至善。安息日為聖日、爾使眾知所持守、又命爾僕摩西、以禁令、禮儀、律例、訓迪之、民饑則餅降自天、民渴則水湧於磐、昔爾誓以土地錫民、後復令民入而居之。當時之民、即我列祖、妄自矜詡、強項不馴、不聽從爾命、不追念爾所行之異跡、倔強猶昔、背爾立牧、歸於服役之地、乃爾特加赦宥、仁慈矜憫、恆忍施恩、不棄斯民。
