有关这救恩，那些预言恩典要临到你们的众先知早已详细寻求查考了。基督的灵曾在他们心中指示他们，预言基督要受苦，然后得荣耀。他们便详细查考这些事会在什么时候、什么情况下发生。

我听见这话，却不明白，就问他：“我主啊，这些事的结局会怎样呢？”

那人答道：“都不是，我来是做耶和华军队的统帅。”约书亚就俯伏下拜说：“我主，有什么话要吩咐仆人？”

“当你们看见‘那带来毁灭的可憎之物’站在不当站的地方时（读者须会意），住在犹太地区的人要逃到山上去；

必有一个婴儿为我们诞生，有一个孩子要赐给我们，祂必统治我们。祂被称为奇妙的策士、全能的上帝、永存的父、和平的君。

举目观看，见有一个人身穿细麻衣，腰束纯金的带子，

“我在夜间的异象中看见一位像人子的，驾着天云而来，到亘古长存者那里，被引到祂面前。

在他们头顶的穹苍之上仿佛有蓝宝石的宝座，有一位形状像人的高高坐在宝座上。我看到祂的腰部以上好像烧红发亮的金属，好像有火四面环绕。腰部以下如同火焰。祂周围有耀眼的光辉，仿佛雨天云中的彩虹。这是耶和华荣耀的形象。我一看见，便俯伏在地，随后听见有说话的声音。

便走近一位侍立一旁的，问他这些事的意思。他就向我解释这些事的意思，说，‘这四只巨兽是指四个将要在世上兴起的国。但至高者的圣民必承受国度，并永永远远拥有国度。’“那时，我想知道关于第四兽的事，它与其余三兽不同，极其可怕，有铁牙铜爪，吞吃、咬碎猎物，用脚践踏所剩的。
