“ While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

“ I thought about the horns. Then I saw another horn. It was a little one. It grew up among the other horns. Three of the first horns were pulled up by their roots to make room for it. The little horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being. Its mouth was always bragging.

I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.

“ While I was considering the horns, suddenly another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. And suddenly in this horn there were eyes like the eyes of a human and a mouth that was speaking arrogantly.

龍又給了那獸一張說誇大和褻瀆話的嘴巴，也給了牠權柄可以任意而行四十二個月。獸就開口向神說褻瀆的話，褻瀆他的名和他的帳幕，以及那些住在天上的。

從這四個角中的一個角，又長出一個小角來，這小角向南、向東和向榮美之地，不斷強大起來。牠漸漸長大，高及天象，把一些天象和星星摔落在地上，用腳踐踏。牠狂妄自大，要高及天象之君；牠除掉獻給天象之君的常獻祭，又拆毀他的聖所。因罪過的緣故，聖民（“聖民”和8:10~11的“天象”原文是同一個字）連同常獻的祭都交給牠；牠把真理丟在地上，任意而行，凡事順利。

蝗蟲的形象，好像是預備好了要上陣的戰馬一樣。牠們頭上戴的好像金冠冕，臉像人的面孔，

願耶和華剪除一切說諂媚話的嘴唇，和說誇大話的舌頭。

我又看見一隻獸從海裡上來，有十角七頭，十角上戴著十個皇冠，七頭上有褻瀆的名號。

“那王必任意而行，自高自大，超過所有的神，又說一些怪誕的話攻擊萬神之神。他必行事順利，直到神的忿怒完畢；因為所定的事必會實現。

我又看見另一隻獸從地裡上來。牠有兩個角，好像羊羔，說話好像龍。牠在頭一隻獸面前，行使頭一隻獸的一切權柄。牠使全地和住在地上的人，都拜那受過致命傷而醫好了的頭一隻獸。牠又行大奇事，甚至在人面前叫火從天上降在地上。

因為他們說虛妄誇大的話，用肉體的私慾和邪蕩的事，引誘那些剛剛逃脫了錯謬生活的人。

我又想知道有關牠頭上的十角，和那另長出來的小角，以及那三個在這小角前面倒下的角的實情。這小角有眼，有說誇大話的嘴；牠的形狀比牠的同類更威猛。我繼續觀看，看見這小角和聖民爭戰，戰勝了他們，直到萬古常存者來到，為至高者的聖民伸張正義；聖民擁有國度的時候就到了。“那位侍立者這樣說：‘那第四隻獸就是世上必有的第四國，和其他各國都不相同；牠必吞吃全地，踐踏咬碎全地。至於那十角，就是從這國中將要興起的十個王，在他們以後，必有另一個王興起，和先前的王都不相同；他必制伏三個王。他必說話，敵擋至高者；他必折磨至高者的聖民，又想改變節期和律法；聖民必交在他的手中，一載、二載、半載（“一載、二載、半載”或譯：“一個時期、多個時期、半個時期”）。

他抵擋神，抬舉自己，高過一切稱為神或受人敬拜的，甚至坐在神的殿中，自稱為神。

這些人常發牢騷，怨天尤人，順著自己的私慾行事，口說誇張的話，為了利益就不惜阿諛奉承。

“在這四國的後期，犯罪的人惡貫滿盈的時候，必有一個面貌兇惡的王興起，他詭計多端。他的權勢強大，卻不是出於自己的能力；他必造成驚人的毀滅；他任意而行，凡事順利；他必毀滅有強力的，又毀滅聖民。他運用詭計，行騙無往而不利；他心裡狂妄自大；他必乘人不備的時候，毀滅許多人；他要起來攻擊萬君之君，最後卻非因人的手被毀滅。

你們不要多說驕傲的話，也不要口出狂妄之言，因為耶和華是全知的神，人的一切行為他都鑒察。

那時，人會專愛自己、貪愛錢財、自誇、高傲、褻瀆、悖逆父母、忘恩負義、不聖潔、
