告我者其言如此、我但以理中心鬱陶、憂形於色、藏諸五內。

但瑪麗亞把這些事牢記在心裡，反覆思想。

於是，耶穌隨父母回到拿撒勒，並順從他們。瑪麗亞把這一切事牢記在心。

「我但以理心中不安，腦中出現的異象令我恐懼，

我但以理精疲力盡，病了幾天。後來我起來照常辦理王的事務，但我對這異象感到驚奇不已，不明白它的意思。

只剩下我一人觀看這奇異的景象。我渾身無力，臉色蒼白，精疲力盡。

但以理，又名伯提沙撒，一時非常驚訝，惶恐不安。王說：「伯提沙撒啊，不要因為這夢和夢的意思而惶恐不安。」伯提沙撒回答說：「我主啊，願這夢發生在恨你的人身上，夢的意思應驗在你的仇敵身上。

對我說：「我要告訴你將來上帝發烈怒時所發生的事，因為這異象是關於那定好的末後時期。

於是，他朝我站的地方走來，當他走來的時候，我嚇得俯伏在地。他對我說：「人子啊，你要明白，這異象是關於末後的時期。」

他說：「但以理啊，你走吧，因為這些事要保密，要被封起來，一直到末了。

臉色驟變，驚恐萬分，兩腿發軟，雙膝顫抖。

大家一看到耶穌，都十分驚奇，立刻跑上去迎接祂。

約瑟把夢告訴了父親和哥哥們，他父親就責備他說：「你做的是什麼夢！難道你的父母弟兄都要來向你俯伏下拜嗎？」

你要堅持到底。你必得到安息，到了末後的日子，你必起來承受你的產業。」

兩個王心懷叵測，同席而坐，爾虞我詐，但都不成功，因為結局必在所定的時間到來。

「你們要牢記人子所說的話，因為祂將要被交到人的手裡。」
