The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or human being during the next thirty days, except to you, Your Majesty, shall be thrown into the lions’ den.

All the royal leaders, high officials, royal rulers, advisers and governors want to make a suggestion. We’ve agreed that you should give an order. And you should make sure it’s obeyed. Your Majesty, here is the command you should make your people obey for the next 30 days. Don’t let any of your people pray to any god or human being except to you. If they do, throw them into the lions’ den.

All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.

We are all in agreement— we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors— that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human— except to you, Your Majesty— will be thrown into the den of lions.

又在他們以上立了總長三人（但以理是其中之一），使這些總督向他們三人呈報告，免得王精神受虧損。於是這但以理，因有非常高超之靈在他裏頭，他便出類拔萃於眾總長和總督之上；王就想要立他來管理全國。

我的子民哪，你們要記得摩押王巴勒所計謀的，和比珥的兒子巴蘭所回答他的，以及你們從什亭到吉甲所遇見的，好使你們知道永恆主的義氣。』

一同計議，要用詭計抓住耶穌，殺他。

求你把我隱藏，使我脫離作壞事者的陰謀、和作孽之人的串通。他們使舌頭尖銳如刀，比準了他們的箭，就是苦毒的話，要在暗地裏射純全的人，突然地射，也不懼怕。他們堅執着壞念頭，計算着要埋藏網羅，說：『誰能看見它，而搜索出我們所作成的奸惡呢？』深思熟慮的設計、人的內裏和心思是深沉的啊。

法利賽人就出去，商議害耶穌，要怎樣殺滅他。

那肆行毁滅而居權位者，憑着律例架弄奸惡、

祭司長就定意、連拉撒路也要殺害，

公獅為小獅子抓撕了足夠肉食，為母獅掐死活物；把抓撕的充滿其洞穴，把撕裂的塞滿其穴窟。

到第二天、民間的議員、長老和經學士、就在耶路撒冷聚集。大祭司亞拿、和該亞法、約拿單、亞力山大、以及所有屬於大祭司家族的人、都在座。他們叫使徒站在當中，就查問說：『你們用甚麼能力、奉甚麼名、作這件事呢？』

地上君王列陣站着，眾執政者聚集在一處，敵擋主，敵擋他所膏立的」。希律和本丟彼拉多、同外國人和以色列眾族之民、真地在這城裏聚集，攻打你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，要作你手和你計畫所豫定必成的一切事。
