Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (niv)

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer— at three in the afternoon. (niv)

In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me:“ Flee like a bird to your mountain.For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. (niv)

When it was time to leave, we left and continued on our way. All of them, including wives and children, accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray. (niv)
