竟高抬自己，敌对天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前来，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿喝酒；你又赞美那些不能看见、不能听见、什么都不能知道，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神，却没有把荣耀归给那手中有你的气息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

反而对天上的主高举自己，让人把他殿中的器皿带到你面前来，你和你的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒；你称赞那些不能看、不能听、不能知——用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明，却不尊崇那位掌握你的气息、掌握你一切道路的神。

反而對天上的主高舉自己，讓人把他殿中的器皿帶到你面前來，你和你的大臣們、妻子們、妃嬪們都用這些來喝酒；你稱讚那些不能看、不能聽、不能知——用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所做的神明，卻不尊崇那位掌握你的氣息、掌握你一切道路的神。

惟自高而抗天上之主、取其室中之器、至於爾前、爾與大臣后妃、用以飲酒、頌美金銀銅鐵木石之神、即無見無聞無知者、至於掌爾氣息、定爾道途之上帝、則不尊榮之、

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

You have taken your stand against the Lord of heaven. You had your servants bring cups from his temple to you. You and your nobles drank wine from them. So did your wives and concubines. You praised your gods. The statues of those gods are made out of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood or stone. They can’t see or hear or understand anything. But you didn’t honor God. He holds in his hand your very life and everything you do.

but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone— gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of the heavens. The vessels from his house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.

but you have risen up against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives, and your concubines have been drinking wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor understand. But the God in whose hand are your life breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

But you have not glorified the God who has in his control your very breath and all your ways!

獸之生命、人之性靈、操自上帝。

耶和華與、我知人事不操諸己、人居斯世、不得整其步履。

爾所侮所欺者為誰、爾白眼而視、疾聲而呼、欲攻誰乎、豈非以色列族之聖者乎。

巴比倫人驕其心志、逆以色列族之聖主耶和華、故召弓人矢人、圍巴比倫、不許逃遁、視其所為而報之。

故我尼布甲尼撒、頌美稱譽天王、其所為者惟秉大公、真實無妄、惟驕其志者、上帝使之卑微。

時日將至、萬有之主耶和華、必折驕矜者之氣、使自高者降而為卑。

上帝鑒我行為、察我步履。

凡百之事、耶和華所定、人豈能逆料、

彼之偶像、金銀而已、人手所雕作兮。有口不言、有目不睹兮、有耳不能聞聲、有鼻不知辨臭兮、有手不可提挈。有足不可步履、有喉舌不可談吐兮、造作之、倚賴之、與彼無異兮、

工人雕木偶、鑄金像、俱屬虛偽、口不能言、作之者亦賴之、何益之有、木石不能言、有求其起而庇佑者、禍必不遠、維彼偶像、雖飾金銀、不通呼吸、焉能有應、

今王既擊以東人、中心驕奢、以此為榮、深居九重、亦可已矣。何為自取其禍、欲與猶大族偕亡乎。

故於上帝前、萬物不得隱、豁然顯露、均為鞫我之主所視焉、

其上帝非上帝、乃木石偶像、人手所作者、故亞述王擲而燬於火、

顧彼既知上帝、猶不以上帝尊之謝之、乃志意虛妄、心頑蒙昧、自稱為智、適成愚魯、不崇永生上帝之榮、反拜速朽世人禽獸昆蟲之像、

有授獸以口才者、能述大事、出妄言、又秉權力戰、四十有二月、啟口冒稱上帝、暨厥名厥殿與在天者、

不為人手所事、亦不需一物、乃以生命呼吸萬物予眾、

耶和華曰、我將勃興、顯我巨力、彰我大能、

耶和華上帝摶土為人、噓氣入鼻、而成血氣之人。

非利士人伯曰、我之上帝以我敵參孫付於我手。故集其眾、大獻祭品、奉事其上帝、厥名大公、自取歡悅。

如定其意旨、不使人通呼吸、則億兆死亡、眾生歸墓。

甫入教者、未可為督、恐自衒與魔鬼同刑、

祝之曰、願天地之主、至高上帝錫嘏於亞伯蘭、

異邦之偶像、金銀而已、人手所雕作兮。有口不言、有目不見、耳不聞聲音、鼻不通呼吸兮、

自高不安其心、義人以信得生、

天上之明宮、屬於耶和華、彼以天下、賜之於人兮。

人傾囊、出其金銀、權其輕重、以畀工人、俾鑄上帝像、俯伏崇拜、負之於肩、置諸一所、立而不動、呼而莫應、望其拯難、而彼不能。

彼既斷氣、則歸於土、凡有謀為、既日消亡兮、

昔耶和華上帝、創造穹蒼、使之張舒、奠定寰宇、使之生植、賦億兆以吹噓之氣、畀生民以活潑之神、今告厥僕曰、

蓋我儕賴之而生、而動、而存、如爾作詩者有云、我儕為其赤子焉、既為上帝亦子、則上帝之體、不可以若金、若銀、若石、人工機巧琢之、

進酒時、命取金銀器皿、乃王之祖尼布甲尼撒得之於耶路撒冷上帝殿者、遂取之至、王公后妃以之飲酒、

非利士人攜上帝之匱、自以便以設、至亞實突、置於大公殿、在大公側。詰朝亞實突人夙興、見大公隕於地、在耶和華匱前、遂扶大公仍立其所。次日夙興、見大公隕於地、在耶和華匱前、其首與手斷於閾、遺下體而已。故在亞實突間、大公祭司、及詣大公殿者、不履其閾、至於今日。耶和華降災於亞實突四境、使人生痔、間有死亡。亞實突人見此、則曰、以色列上帝之匱、不可居此、蓋降災於我、及我上帝大公。故集非利士人諸伯、曰、以色列族上帝之匱、何以處之。曰、當運至迦特、遂運於彼。既至迦特、耶和華降災於邑、幾至殲滅、使民無長幼生痔於下體。

人子、當告推羅王云、主耶和華曰、爾中心驕泰、自謂可匹上帝、其邑在海中、若上帝位、爾雖自謂可匹上帝、終屬凡民、非上帝也。

諭食祭偶像之物、吾知宇宙間、無有主偶像者、亦知上帝獨一無他、

爾因美麗、中心驕泰、亦因光彩、失其智慧、故我必傾圮爾、使列王目睹。

耶和華曰、彼譬喬木、其葉蓁蓁、心志驕泰、

巧於貿易、日臻富厚、因而心驕、

主遐棄之、則不得安、主斷其氣、則就死亡、歸於土兮、
