「至於你，他的繼位人伯沙撒啊！你雖然知道這一切，自己的心卻不降卑，

爾伯沙撒乃先王之孫、雖知此事、不卑以自牧、

伯沙撒歟、爾乃其子、子或作孫雖知此事、猶不自卑、

“ But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.

“ But you knew all that, Belshazzar. After all, you are Nebuchadnezzar’s son. In spite of that, you are still proud.

不效其父瑪拿西自卑於耶和華前、干罪愈甚、

摩西亞倫入覲法老曰、希伯來人之上帝耶和華諭云、爾於我前、不欲自卑、將至何時、宜釋吾民、使其崇事於我、

行耶和華所惡、先知耶利米以耶和華言諭之、彼不自卑、

幼宜服長、爾曹謙以自束、互相服役、蓋上帝拒驕泰者、賜恩卑遜者、故於上帝大能之下、爾當自卑、俾得屆期擢爾、

惟彼賜尤大之恩、故曰、上帝拒驕傲者、賜恩於謙卑者、

惡人雖蒙恩施、猶不學義、在於正直之地、尚復橫行、不顧耶和華之威、

爾若知此而行之、則福矣、

在列王前、言爾法度、不至蒙羞兮、

彼得充於聖神、語之曰、民之有司、與長老乎、我儕今日若因行於病者之善事見訊、即斯人何由得愈、則爾眾與以色列諸民、宜知斯人得愈、立於爾前、乃因拿撒勒耶穌基督之名、即爾所釘於十架、而上帝自死而起者也、彼乃爾工師所棄之石、已成屋隅首石矣、此外別無拯救、蓋天下人間、未錫他名、我儕以之得救也、○眾見彼得約翰之果敢、且知其為無學無識之氓、則異之、又知其曾偕耶穌、

彼得與諸使徒對曰、我儕順服上帝過於人、宜也、我列祖之上帝已起耶穌、即爾所懸於木而殺之者、且以其右手、舉之為君、為救主、以改悔賜以色列民、並罪惡之赦、我儕為此事之證、上帝所賜於順服者之聖神亦然、○眾聞之、忿極、欲殺之、

王歟、至上上帝以國位大權、尊榮威嚴、錫爾父尼布甲尼撒、

僕知主意而不備、不順其意者、見扑必多、

蓋約翰由義路就爾、爾不之信、而稅吏娼妓信之、且爾見此、後仍不悔以信也、○

蓋約翰曾謂之曰、納此婦非宜也、

蓋知善而不行者罪也、
