傾爾滿溢之怒、觀矜高者而卑之、視驕傲者而降之、踐惡人於其所、

心驕者耶和華所惡、雖則連手、不免受刑、

乘有今日、宜日相勸勉、免爾中有因罪惡之詭謀、以致剛愎、

因其舉手以攻上帝、狂傲以敵全能者、彼強厥項、以厚盾衝突之、其面豐腴、其腰肥大、

啟明之晨星歟、何自天而隕乎、屈抑列邦者歟、何見斫於地乎、爾心自謂、我將升天、設位於上帝諸星之上、坐於北極聚會之山、騰越雲霄、與至上者比擬、然爾必下陰府、墮於至深之坑、凡見爾者、必注目諦視曰、使大地震撼、列國聳動、寰區荒落、城邑傾圮、不令俘虜返故土者、乃斯人耶、

今我尼布甲尼撒、頌美稱揚尊崇天上之王、其所行者、悉為真實、其道公義、惟驕泰而行者、則降而卑之、

曰、此非大巴比倫、我以大能大力建為王都、彰我威榮乎、言未竟、自天有聲曰、尼布甲尼撒王歟、有言告爾、國位已離爾矣、爾將被逐、離乎人羣、與野獸同居、囓草如牛、歷至七期、迨爾知至上者治世人之國、隨意畀人、斯言即時驗於尼布甲尼撒、被逐離乎人羣、囓草如牛、身為天露所濡、迨及髮長若鷹毛、甲長若鳥爪、

彼以其臂施厥能力、心志驕者散之、有權者黜其位、卑下者舉而上之、

耶和華曰、扶持埃及者必蹶、埃及恃力之高傲必降、自密奪至色弗尼、俱仆於刃、主耶和華言之矣、

我語汝、此人歸、較彼見義、蓋自高者、將卑之、自卑者、將高之也、○

巴比倫處子歟、爾其下、坐於塵埃、迦勒底女子歟、爾無位、坐於土壤、不復稱為嬌嬈窈窕、

處底本之女歟、其下榮位、燥渴而坐、蓋殘害摩押者、上而攻爾、毀爾保障、

今知耶和華較諸神為大、即於埃及人狂傲之事顯之也、

何剛愎乃心、如埃及人與法老之剛愎乎、上帝行奇事於其間、彼豈非釋其民、使之往乎、
