于是称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊讶片时，心意惊惶。王说：“伯提沙撒啊，不要因梦和梦的讲解惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊，愿这梦归与恨恶你的人，讲解归与你的敌人。

于是称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊骇片时，心意惊惶。王说：“伯提沙撒啊，不要因梦和梦的解释惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊，愿这梦归给恨恶你的人，这梦的解释归给你的敌人。

稱伯提沙撒之但以理、愕然頃之、中心煩擾、王曰、伯提沙撒歟、勿以夢及其解煩擾、伯提沙撒對曰、我主歟、願此夢應於憾爾者、其解應於爾敵、

但以理亦名伯底沙撒、一聞我言、不覺驚駭竟晷、中心鬱陶、余曰、伯底沙撒勿為余夢及兆、鬱伊不止、對曰、願此夢之兆、應於敵人、勿為王躬之咎、

稱伯提沙撒之但以理、一聞我言、驚訝片時、中心惶恐、我尼布甲尼撒王曰、伯提沙撒、勿為夢與夢兆惶恐、伯提沙撒曰、我主、願其夢應於王之仇、願其兆驗驗或作臨於王之敵、

Then Daniel( also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!

Daniel, who was also called Belteshazzar, was very bewildered for a while. His thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its meaning make you afraid.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My master, I wish the dream were about your enemies! I wish its meaning had to do with them!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was dismayed for a while, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king answered and said,“ Belteshazzar, let not the dream or the interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you and its interpretation for your enemies!

“ Upon hearing this, Daniel( also known as Belteshazzar) was overcome for a time, frightened by the meaning of the dream. Then the king said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, don’t be alarmed by the dream and what it means.’“ Belteshazzar replied,‘ I wish the events foreshadowed in this dream would happen to your enemies, my lord, and not to you!

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

“ Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded and said,‘ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.’ Belteshazzar replied,‘ My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. So the king spoke, and said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My Lord, may the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken dumb for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine adversaries.

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name[ was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream[ be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

Then Daniel( whose name is also Belteshazzar) was upset for a brief time; his thoughts were alarming him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream and its interpretation alarm you.” But Belteshazzar replied,“ Sir, if only the dream were for your enemies and its interpretation applied to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream, or the interpretation, trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries.

我但以理精疲力竭，病了幾天，後來我起來，辦理王的事務，但我仍因這異象驚駭不已，不明白它的意思。

這事到此完畢。我但以理心中十分驚惶，臉色也變了，但我把這事存放在心裡。”

忽然有一位像人的，摸我的嘴唇，我就開口和那站在我面前的交談，說：“我主啊！因著這異象，我非常痛苦，毫無氣力。我主的僕人怎能和我主說話呢？我現在全身無力，沒有氣息。”

王啊！夢的意思就是這樣：這臨到我主我王的事，是至高者的裁決。

以利說：“耶和華對你說了甚麼話呢？你不要向我隱瞞，他對你所說的一切話，如果你向我隱瞞一句，願神對付你，並且加倍對付你。”

那古實人也到了。他說：“有好消息報給我主我王；今天耶和華已經救你脫離那些起來攻擊你的人的手了！”王問古實人：“那年輕人押沙龍平安嗎？”古實人回答：“願我主我王的仇敵和一切來攻擊你、傷害你的人，都像那年輕人一樣。”

“我尼布甲尼撒安逸地住在家中，在宮裡享受榮華富貴。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為4:1）我作了一個夢，這夢使我懼怕；我在床上所見的夢幻和我腦海中出現的異象，都使我驚惶。

我的肺腑，我的肺腑啊！我絞痛欲絕。我的心哪！我的心在我裡面顫抖，我不能緘默不語。我的靈啊！我聽見了號角的聲音，也聽見了戰爭的吶喊。

俄巴底在路上走的時候，以利亞遇見了他。俄巴底認出他來，就臉伏在地，說：“你真是我主以利亞嗎？”

王問稱為伯提沙撒的但以理說：“你能向我說明我所見的夢和夢的意思嗎？”

“至於我但以理，我的靈在我裡面憂傷，我腦海中出現的異象使我驚惶。

隨後，大衛也起來，離開了山洞，在掃羅背後呼叫，說：“我主！我王！”掃羅回頭向後看的時候，大衛就臉伏於地，向他叩拜。

“最後，那照著我神的名，稱為伯提沙撒的但以理，來到我面前，他裡面有聖神的靈，我就把夢告訴他：‘術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊！因為我知道你裡面有聖神的靈，沒有甚麼隱祕的事能難倒你；因此，你要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的意思告訴我。

太監長給他們起了新的名字，稱但以理為伯提沙撒，哈拿尼雅為沙得拉，米沙利為米煞，亞撒利雅為亞伯尼歌。

現在，如果你肯赦免他們的罪，那就好了；如果不肯，求你從你所寫的冊上把我塗抹吧。”

我把你們擄到的那城，你們要為她求平安，為她向耶和華祈禱；因為她得平安，你們也得平安。’

吩咐他們說：“你們要對我主以掃這樣說：‘你的僕人雅各這樣說：我在拉班那裡寄居，一直到現在。我擁有牛、驢、羊群、僕婢，現在派人來報告我主，希望得到你的歡心。’”

這都因為在這但以理裡面有美好的靈性，有知識，有聰明，能解夢，釋謎語，能解答難題；這人尼布甲尼撒王曾給他起名叫伯提沙撒。現在可以把但以理召來，他必能解釋牆上文字的意思。”

大衛對押尼珥說：“你不是一個男子漢嗎？以色列人中有誰能與你相比呢？眾民中有一個人來要殺害王你的主，你為甚麼沒有保護王你的主呢？

諸山見你而顫抖，眾水暴流而過；深淵發聲，舉手高揚。

拉結對她父親說：“求我主不要生氣，我不能在你面前起來，因為我正有女人的經期。”這樣，拉班徹底搜查了，也搜不出那神像來。

你就要回答：‘是你僕人雅各的，是送給我主以掃的禮物，他自己也在我們後面。’”

哈拿回答：“我主啊，不是的。我是個心靈愁苦的婦人，淡酒烈酒都沒有喝，只不過在耶和華面前傾吐我的心意。
