If you do not tell me the dream, there is only one penalty for you. You have conspired to tell me misleading and wicked things, hoping the situation will change. So then, tell me the dream, and I will know that you can interpret it for me.”

You must tell me the dream. If you don’t, you will pay for it. You have gotten together and made evil plans. You hope things will change. So you are telling me lies. But I want you to tell me what I dreamed. Then I’ll know that you can tell me what it means.”

“王所有的臣僕和各省的人民，都知道有一條法令：無論男女，沒有奉召就擅入內院去見王的，除非王向他伸出金杖，賜他免死，一律要處以死刑。現在我沒有奉召進去見王已經三十天了。”

把以後要來的事告訴我們，好叫我們知道你們是神；你們作這些事，或降福或降禍，以致我們彼此對望，一齊觀看。

他必說話，敵擋至高者；他必折磨至高者的聖民，又想改變節期和律法；聖民必交在他的手中，一載、二載、半載（“一載、二載、半載”或譯：“一個時期、多個時期、半個時期”）。

他改變時間、季節；他廢王、立王；他賜智慧給智慧人，賜知識給聰明人。

現在，如果你們想清楚，一聽見角、笛、琵琶、弦琴、豎琴、風笛和各種樂器的聲音，就俯伏向我所做的像下拜，那還可以。如果你們不下拜，就必立刻扔在烈火的窰中。哪裡有神能救你們脫離我的手呢？”

‘毘勒斯’（“毘勒斯”即“烏法珥新”的單數式）就是你的國要分裂，歸給瑪代人和波斯人。”

你們為了幾把大麥，為了幾塊餅，就在我的子民中間褻瀆我；你們向我那些願聽謊言的子民說謊，不該死的人，你們殺死了；不該活的人，你們卻保全他們的性命。

說實話的嘴唇，永遠堅立；撒謊的舌頭，眨眼間消失。

“人子啊！你要面向民中那些隨著自己心意說預言的女子，說預言攻擊她們。你要說：

於是以色列王把眾先知聚集了來，約有四百人，問他們：“我可以去攻打基列的拉末嗎？或是應當忍耐不去呢？”他們說：“你可以上去，主必把那城交在王的手裡。”

我使說假話者的兆頭失效，使占卜者都變成愚昧人；我使有智慧的人後退，使他們的知識變為愚拙。

他們所見的是虛假的異象，是騙人的占卜；他們說：‘這是耶和華的宣告。’其實耶和華並沒有差遣他們，他們卻希望自己的話能夠應驗。

瑪代人大利烏奪取了迦勒底國；那時他六十二歲。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為6:1）

他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’

我們不像那許多的人，為了圖利而謬講神的道。相反地，我們講話，是出於真誠，出於神，是在神面前、在基督裡的。
