『當那些時候、這女子的根兒上必有一根枝子要立起來、接替他的位子；他必來到外郭，進入北方王的保障，同他們周旋，而強過他們。

公主本族、將有一王登基、率大軍旅、攻北方王鞏固之城、隨意而行、大獲全勝、

“ One from her family line will arise to take her place. He will attack the forces of the king of the North and enter his fortress; he will fight against them and be victorious.

“ Someone from her family line will take her place. He will attack the army of the next king of Syria. Then he will enter his fort. He will fight against that army and win.

“ And from a branch from her roots one shall arise in his place. He shall come against the army and enter the fortress of the king of the north, and he shall deal with them and shall prevail.

But when one of her relatives becomes king of the south, he will raise an army and enter the fortress of the king of the north and defeat him.

In the place of the king of the South, one from her family will rise up, come against the army, and enter the fortress of the king of the North. He will take action against them and triumph.

But one of the descendants of her line will arise in his place, and he will come against their army and enter the fortress of the king of the North, and he will deal with them and prevail.

But from a branch of her roots one shall arise in his place, who shall come with an army, enter the fortress of the king of the North, and deal with them and prevail.

But out of a shoot from her roots shall one stand up in his place, who shall come unto the army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail.

In the place of the king of the South, one from her family will rise up, come against the army, and enter the fortress of the king of the North. He will take action against them and triumph.

But out of a branch of her roots shall[ one] stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:

“ There will arise in his place one from her family line who will come against their army and will enter the stronghold of the king of the north and will move against them successfully.

“ But out of a shoot from her roots one will stand up in his place, who will come to the army, and will enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and will deal against them, and will prevail.

於是他必轉向他本地的保障，卻要傾覆仆倒，無人找得着他。『那時必有一個立起來的人接替他的位子，打發橫徵暴斂的人為了君王的榮華而遍行國內；但不多幾日這王就必破敗，卻不是因面對面的打鬥，也不是因爭戰。

『因為你看、萬軍之永恆主說：那日來到、燃燒着像火爐：一切傲慢的、一切行惡的、都必成了碎稭；那要來到的日子必將他們燒滅掉，不給留下根頭或枝條。

願他的年日短少；願別人取得他的職分。

從耶西的樹𣎴子必生出一根枝條來，從他的根必發生一條嫩枝子。

但你呢、上帝啊，使惡人下陰冥之坑哦！使流人血行詭詐的人活不到其半世哦！至於我呢、我是要倚靠你的。

他藐視了發咒起誓的話，違犯了盟約；曾經舉手起了誓，還行這一切事，他必不能逃脫。

因此永恆主從以色列中剪除了頭與尾，就在一日之間、剪除棕枝與燈草——（

他必看見智慧人死去，愚頑人和畜類人一概滅亡，將他們的資財留給別人。他們的墳墓永做他們的家，代代做他們的住處：他們以自己的名稱自己的地。但人是不能久居於富貴的；他好似終被宰割的牲口一樣。這便是信賴自己者的行徑，是慶幸自己所得者的結局。（細拉）

『樹若被砍下，還可指望再萌芽，幼枝生長不息。

你栽培了他們，他們也扎了根；他們長大，也結了果子；他們口裏說，你很相近；他們心腸裏卻想，你很遠離。

但上帝卻對他說：「糊塗人哪，就在今天夜裏，你的財物就要要你的命了！你所豫備的、要歸誰呢？」

他倒要敬拜保障的神以代替之；他列祖所不認識的神、他倒要用金銀寶石和珍寶去敬拜。他必使敬拜外人之神的人民做守衛保障者；凡承認他的、他就將尊榮加給他們，使他們管轄大眾，又將土地分給他們做采地。
