He replied,“ Do you know why I have come? Soon I must return to fight against the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia, and after that the spirit prince of the kingdom of Greece will come.

他說：“現在我要回去和波斯的護衛天使作戰；我一離去，希臘的護衛天使就要來。但你知道我為甚麼到你這裡來嗎？

他就說：『你知道我為甚麼來找你麼？現在我要回去跟波斯的護衛天使爭戰；我出戰完了，你看吧，希臘的護衛天使就必來。

他就說：「你明白我為什麼到你這裡來嗎？現在我要回去與波斯的護衛天使爭戰，我一離去，看哪，希臘的護衛天使就會來！

彼曰、我之詣爾、爾知其故乎、今我將返、與波斯之君戰、我既去、希臘之君必至、

彼曰我至爾所、非無故也、頃必復至、巴西與其君鬥、厥後雅番君將至、

彼又曰、我至爾所、爾知其故乎、今我欲歸、與護巴西之君戰、我往後、護雅完之君必至、

Then he said,“ Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.

He said,“ Do you know why I’ve come to you? I must return at once to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I leave, the prince of Greece will come.

Then he said,“ Do you understand why I came to you? But I shall now return to fight against the prince of Persia; so I am leaving, and behold, the prince of Greece is about to come.

Then he said,“ Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come.

Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.

He said,“ Do you know why I’ve come to you? I must return at once to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I leave, the prince of Greece will come.

Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

He said,“ Do you know why I have come to you? Now I am about to return to engage in battle with the prince of Persia. When I go, the prince of Greece is coming.

Then he said,“ Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.

The shaggy male goat represents the king of Greece, and the large horn between his eyes represents the first king of the Greek Empire.

“ Now then, I will reveal the truth to you. Three more Persian kings will reign, to be succeeded by a fourth, far richer than the others. He will use his wealth to stir up everyone to fight against the kingdom of Greece.“ Then a mighty king will rise to power who will rule with great authority and accomplish everything he sets out to do.But at the height of his power, his kingdom will be broken apart and divided into four parts. It will not be ruled by the king’s descendants, nor will the kingdom hold the authority it once had. For his empire will be uprooted and given to others.

But for twenty one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

While I was watching, suddenly a male goat appeared from the west, crossing the land so swiftly that he didn’t even touch the ground. This goat, which had one very large horn between its eyes,headed toward the two horned ram that I had seen standing beside the river, rushing at him in a rage.The goat charged furiously at the ram and struck him, breaking off both his horns. Now the ram was helpless, and the goat knocked him down and trampled him. No one could rescue the ram from the goat’s power.The goat became very powerful. But at the height of his power, his large horn was broken off. In the large horn’s place grew four prominent horns pointing in the four directions of the earth.

Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

Then the third of these strange beasts appeared, and it looked like a leopard. It had four bird’s wings on its back, and it had four heads. Great authority was given to this beast.
