即少年無疵、美姿容、嫻智慧、具知識、明格致、可侍於王宮者、教以迦勒底人之學術語言、

皆無瑕疵、丰采甚都、智識兼備、可立於朝者、教以迦勒底人語言文字王日賜以糈糧酒醴、比及三年、乃使侍於王前、

選少者數人、皆須無瑕疵、相貌俊美、通達各學各術、知識具備、可侍立於王宮者、當教之以迦勒底之文詞言語、

young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

He was looking for young men who were healthy and handsome. They had to be able to learn anything. They had to be well educated. They had to have the ability to understand new things quickly and easily. The king wanted men who could serve in his palace. Ashpenaz was supposed to teach them the Babylonian language and writings.

youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

“ Select only strong, healthy, and good looking young men,” he said.“ Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.”

你国中有一个人，他有圣洁神明的灵。先王在世时，曾发现他有神明一样的灼见、悟性和智慧。先王尼布甲尼撒立他为术士、巫师、占星家和占卜者的首领。

“摩西学会了埃及人一切的学问，成为一个说话办事很有能力的人。

在整个以色列，没有人像押沙龙那样因相貌英俊而为人称道，他从头到脚毫无瑕疵。

你看那精明能干的人，他必侍立在君王面前，不会效力于泛泛之辈。

有人伤害别人，也要同样对待他，要以眼还眼，以牙还牙。他怎样伤害别人，也要怎样伤害他。

上帝使这四个青年精通各样学问和知识。但以理能明白各种异象和梦兆。到了尼布甲尼撒王规定青年们进宫的日子，太监长便带他们去见王。王与他们谈话，发现无人比得上但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利和亚撒利雅，便把他们留在身边供职。王询问他们各样的事，发现他们的智慧和聪明比全国的术士和巫师高十倍。

瞎眼的、跛脚的、五官不正的、畸形的、四肢不全的、驼背的、矮小的、患眼疾的、长疥癣的或睪丸受损的，都不可近前来献祭。亚伦祭司子孙中有残疾的都不可向耶和华献火祭。他们既然有残疾，就不可近前来献我的食物。

他大声传令，召来巫师、占星家和占卜者，对这些巴比伦的智者说：“谁能读墙上的字，把意思告诉我，他必身穿紫袍，颈戴金链，在国中位居第三。”

那时，摩西出生了，他长得俊美非凡。他的父母在家里偷偷地抚养了他三个月，

占星家用亚兰话对王说：“愿王万岁！请将梦告诉仆人，仆人好解释梦的意思。”王对占星家说：“我的旨意已定，你们若不能将梦和梦的意思告诉我，必被碎尸万段，你们的家必沦为废墟。

便派人召来术士、巫师、行法术的和占星家，为他解梦。他们都来到王面前。

术士、巫师、占星家和占卜者都来了，我将梦告诉他们，他们却不能给我解梦。

基甸问西巴和撒慕拿：“你们在他泊山杀的人是什么样子？”他们回答说：“他们长得像你，都像王子一样。”

那时，有几个占星家前来控告犹大人。

智慧使一个智者比城里十个官长更有能力。

以便把圣洁、完美、没有污点、皱纹等瑕疵的荣耀教会呈献给祂自己。

占星家说：“王所要求的，世上无人能做到，因为再伟大、再有权势的君王也没问过术士、巫师或占星家这样的事。

说：“上帝的名永永远远当受称颂，因为智慧和能力都属于祂。祂改变时令和季节，废王立王，赐智慧给智者，赐知识给哲士。
