For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、

我儕聞之、為爾祈禱不輟、願爾感聖神得智慧、備知其旨、

是以我儕自聞之之時、為爾祈禱不已、求主俾爾得諸睿智靈慧、盡知其旨、

吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.

Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time.

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment,so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good.

equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever. Amen.

This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints,and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength.He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens—

“ As for me, I vow that I will not sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you. I will teach you the good and right way.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.

And in view of this, we always pray for you that our God will consider you worthy of His calling, and will, by His power, fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith,

Pray constantly.

For you need endurance, so that after you have done God’s will, you may receive what was promised.

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

For this reason I kneel before the Fatherfrom whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit,and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints

Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God’s will remains forever.

that has come to you. It is bearing fruit and growing all over the world, just as it has among you since the day you heard it and recognized God’s grace in the truth.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always contending for you in his prayers, so that you can stand mature and fully assured in everything God wills.

So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart.

in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.

If anyone wants to do His will, he will understand whether the teaching is from God or if I am speaking on My own.

I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience as my ancestors did, when I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day.Remembering your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy,

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because the news of your faith is being reported in all the world.For God, whom I serve with my spirit in telling the good news about His Son, is my witness that I constantly mention you,always asking in my prayers that if it is somehow in God’s will, I may now at last succeed in coming to you.

So Peter was kept in prison, but prayer was being made earnestly to God for him by the church.
