是實天主所托於我、對爾等應盡之本分、亦所以發揚天主之道也。

我照神为你们所赐我的职分作了教会的执事，要把神的道理传得全备，

我照上帝为你们所赐我的职分作了教会的仆役，要把上帝的道传得完满；

我照神为你们所赐我的职分作了教会的仆役，要把神的道传得完满；

我受上帝的委派成为教会的仆人，要把上帝的道完整地传给你们。

我照着神为你们而赐给我的管家职分，作了教会的仆役，要把神的道，就是历世历代隐藏的奥秘，传得完备。现在这奥秘已经向他的众圣徒显明了。

神为了你们的缘故赐给了我任务，我按照这任务成为教会的仆人，为要使神的话语完全传开。

上帝賜我職、為會中執事、遍傳上帝道、

I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—

I serve the church. God appointed me to bring the complete word of God to you.

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,

God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you.

I have become its servant, according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,

I was made a minister of this church according to the commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

whereof I was made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which was given me to you- ward, to fulfil the word of God,

I have become its servant, according to God’s administration that was given to me for you, to make God’s message fully known,

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God– given to me for you– in order to complete the word of God,

of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God,

天主為爾等之益、授我以宣恩萬邦之重寄、爾等諒有所聞也。

是在爾等篤守信德、確乎不拔、以保因聞福音而得之希望而已。此福音已布於普天生靈、而我葆樂竟得供役於斯。

反之、彼等洞察予實受有傳福音於未割者之使命、適如伯鐸祿之傳福音於受割之人也。蓋啟發伯鐸祿、使為本國之宗徒者、主也；而啟發鄙人、使為外邦之宗徒者、亦主也。

汝能以此種種、昭示兄弟、同時涵泳教義、深味聖訓、日漸月漬、毋忘向之所學、則可謂基督耶穌之忠僕矣。

努力傳道、處順毋弛、處逆毋餒。務須一秉堅忍不拔之耐德、及真實無妄之教理、以規人之過、懲人之惡、而勗人之善也。蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；於真諦妙理、則褎如充耳、惟恐有聞；於妖言邪說、則洗耳恭聽、惟恐不聞也。吾兒當朝乾夕惕忍辱負重、毅然以光大聖道為己任、克盡司鐸之職。

而先遣從事基督福音之天主忠僕、兄弟蒂茂德、前來慰問、以堅爾之信德、

今我不揣冒昧、坦率作書者、第欲供爾等以備忘錄耳。且吾既蒙天主之恩寵、得在異邦人中充任基督耶穌之役、不得不勉盡司鐸之職、以弘宣基督之福音、務使異邦人受聖神之感化、而超凡入聖、俾我獻之於天主之前、而蒙其悅納。如此、則我本人亦得托耶穌基督之庇、而建功於天主之前矣。然吾亦何敢自誇；吾之所以能使異邦人歸化者、實由基督躬自成之、惟假吾之手而已。或以言語、或以行為、或以聖蹟、異能、何一非聖神之妙工乎？吾傳基督福音、足跡已遍耶路撒冷及其周圍之地、直達伊利利亞。

若予之傳道為出於自動、則受酬宜也、今既有所受命、則在予為一受託之義務而已。
