he builds his lofty palace in the heavens and sets its foundation on the earth; he calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land— the Lord is his name.

The Lord builds his palace high in the heavens. He lays its foundation on the earth. He sends for the waters in the clouds. Then he pours them out on the surface of the land. His name is the Lord.

The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens, while its foundation is on the earth. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The Lord is his name!

在水中立樓閣的棟梁，用雲彩為車輦，藉着風的翅膀而行，

那造昴星和參星，使死蔭變為晨光，使白晝變為黑夜，召喚海水、使其傾倒在地面上的，耶和華是他的名。

看哪，那創山，造風，將其心意指示人，使晨光變幽暗，踩行在地之高處的，他的名是耶和華－萬軍之上帝。

他從樓閣中澆灌山嶺；因他作為的功效，地就豐足。

天和地，以及萬象都完成了。

將地立在根基上，使地永不動搖。你用深水遮蓋地面，猶如衣裳；諸水高過山嶺。

上帝對摩西說：「我是自有永有的」；又說：「你要對以色列人這樣說：『那自有永有的差派我到你們這裏來。』」上帝又對摩西說：「你要對以色列人這樣說：『耶和華－你們祖宗的上帝，就是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝差派我到你們這裏來。』這是我的名，直到永遠；這也是我的稱號，直到萬代。

你們難道不懼怕我嗎？在我面前還不戰兢嗎？這是耶和華說的。我以沙為海的界限，作永遠的條例，使它不得越過。波浪洶湧，卻不能勝過；怒濤澎湃，仍無法越過。

挪亞六百歲那一年的二月十七日，就在那一天，大深淵的泉源都裂開，天上的窗戶也敞開了，四十晝夜有大雨降在地上。正在那日，挪亞和他的兒子閃、含、雅弗，以及挪亞的妻子和三個媳婦，都一同進入方舟。他們和一切走獸，各從其類；一切牲畜，各從其類；地上爬的一切爬行動物，各從其類；一切的鳥，就是一切有翅膀的飛禽，各從其類；凡有生命氣息的血肉之軀，都一對一對到挪亞那裏，進入方舟。凡有血肉的，都一公一母進入方舟，正如上帝所吩咐挪亞的。耶和華就把他關在方舟裏。洪水在地上氾濫四十天，水往上漲，使方舟浮起，方舟就從地上漂起來。水勢洶湧，在地上大大上漲，方舟在水面上漂蕩。水勢在地上極其浩大，普天下所有的高山都淹沒了。
