Because of this the earth will quake, and all who live in it will mourn. The whole earth will rise like the River Nile, it will surge upward and then grow calm, like the Nile in Egypt.

地岂不因这事震动？其上的居民不也悲哀吗？地必全然像尼罗河涨起，如同埃及河涌上落下。”

这片土地要因此而震动，那里的人都要悲哀。大地要像尼罗河一样涨起，如埃及的河流翻腾退落。”

“这地不应为此震动，所有住在地上的不应悲哀吗？这地必像尼罗河高涨翻腾，像埃及的大河退落。

地豈不因這事震動？其上的居民不也悲哀嗎？地必全然像尼羅河漲起，如同埃及河湧上落下。

地豈不因這事震動？其中的居民豈不悲哀嗎？全地必如尼羅河漲起，如埃及的尼羅河湧起退落。

“這地不應為此震動，所有住在地上的不應悲哀嗎？這地必像尼羅河高漲翻騰，像埃及的大河退落。

地哪能不因這事而震動，而上頭的居民不悲哀呢？地哪能不全然漲起像尼羅河，而湧上又退落如埃及河呢？』

斯地豈不因此而震動、居其中者豈不悲哀乎、斯地將墳起、如大河之漲、搖撼而復下陷、如埃及之河焉、

地必震動、民必哀號、土壤墳起、忽復下陷、若埃及之河、漲而復退。

緣此事、地不當震動乎、其中居民、不當哀痛乎、全地不當墳起、如河之翻騰乎、不當攪起復又下陷、如伊及之河漲而復退乎、

“ Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it mourn? The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink like the river of Egypt.

“ The land will tremble because of what will happen. Everyone who lives in it will mourn. So the whole land will rise like the Nile River. It will be stirred up. Then it will settle back down again like that river in Egypt.”

Shall not the land tremble on this account, and everyone mourn who dwells in it, and all of it rise like the Nile, and be tossed about and sink again, like the Nile of Egypt?”

The earth will tremble for your deeds, and everyone will mourn. The ground will rise like the Nile River at floodtime; it will heave up, then sink again.

Because of this, won’t the land quake and all who dwell in it mourn? All of it will rise like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.

Because of this will the land not quake, And everyone who lives in it mourn? Indeed, all of it will rise up like the Nile, And it will be tossed about And subside like the Nile of Egypt.

Shall the land not tremble for this, And everyone mourn who dwells in it? All of it shall swell like the River, Heave and subside Like the River of Egypt.

Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? yea, it shall rise up wholly like the River; and it shall be troubled and sink again, like the River of Egypt.

Because of this, won’t the land quake and all who dwell in it mourn? All of it will rise like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.

Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as[ by] the flood of Egypt.

Won’t the land tremble for this, and everyone mourn who dwells in it? Yes, it will rise up wholly like the River; and it will be stirred up and sink again, like the River of Egypt.

The sovereign LORD who commands armies will do this. He touches the earth and it dissolves; all who live on it mourn. The whole earth rises like the River Nile, and then grows calm like the Nile in Egypt.

Therefore the land will mourn, and all its inhabitants will perish. The wild animals, the birds of the sky, and even the fish in the sea will perish.

Egypt rises like the Nile, like its streams turbulent at flood stage. Egypt says,‘ I will arise and cover the earth. I will destroy cities and the people who inhabit them.’

The earth heaved and shook; the roots of the mountains trembled; they heaved because he was angry.

So the LORD is furious with his people; he lifts his hand and strikes them. The mountains shake, and corpses lie like manure in the middle of the streets. Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again.

The mountains tremble before him, the hills convulse; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all its inhabitants are laid waste.No one can withstand his indignation! No one can resist his fierce anger! His wrath is poured out like volcanic fire, boulders are broken up as he approaches.

How long must the land be parched and the grass in every field be withered? How long must the animals and the birds die because of the wickedness of the people who live in this land? For these people boast,“ God will not see what happens to us.”

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The inhabitants of Samaria will lament over the calf idol of Beth Aven. Its people will mourn over it; its idolatrous priests will wail over it, because its splendor will be taken from them into exile.

So look, the sovereign master is bringing up against them the turbulent and mighty waters of the Euphrates River– the king of Assyria and all his majestic power. It will reach flood stage and overflow its banks.It will spill into Judah, flooding and engulfing, as it reaches to the necks of its victims. He will spread his wings out over your entire land, O Immanuel.”

Look, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling place! He will descend and march on the earth’s mountaintops!The mountains will disintegrate beneath him, and the valleys will be split in two. The mountains will melt like wax in a fire, the rocks will slide down like water cascading down a steep slope.All this is because of Jacob’s rebellion and the sins of the nation of Israel. How has Jacob rebelled, you ask? Samaria epitomizes their rebellion! Where are Judah’s pagan worship centers, you ask? They are right in Jerusalem!

The sea looked and fled; the Jordan River turned back.The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills?Tremble, O earth, before the Lord– before the God of Jacob,

Now after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one will be cut off and have nothing. As for the city and the sanctuary, the people of the coming prince will destroy them. But his end will come speedily like a flood. Until the end of the war that has been decreed there will be destruction.

You made the earth quake; you split it open. Repair its breaches, for it is ready to fall.You have made your people experience hard times; you have made us drink intoxicating wine.

Moreover, the LORD who rules over all says:‘ In just a little while I will once again shake the sky and the earth, the sea and the dry ground.I will also shake up all the nations, and they will offer their treasures; then I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD who rules over all.

Plague goes before him; pestilence marches right behind him.He takes his battle position and shakes the earth; with a mere look he frightens the nations. The ancient mountains disintegrate; the primeval hills are flattened. He travels on the ancient roads.I see the tents of Cushan overwhelmed by trouble; the tent curtains of the land of Midian are shaking.Is the LORD mad at the rivers? Are you angry with the rivers? Are you enraged at the sea? Is this why you climb into your horse-drawn chariots, your victorious chariots?

I looked at the mountains and saw that they were shaking. All the hills were swaying back and forth!I looked and saw that there were no more people, and that all the birds in the sky had flown away.I looked and saw that the fruitful land had become a desert and that all of the cities had been laid in ruins. The LORD had brought this all about because of his blazing anger.

The earth is broken in pieces, the earth is ripped to shreds, the earth shakes violently.The earth will stagger around like a drunk; it will sway back and forth like a hut in a windstorm. Its sin will weigh it down, and it will fall and never get up again.

I will turn your festivals into funerals, and all your songs into funeral dirges. I will make everyone wear funeral clothes and cause every head to be shaved bald. I will make you mourn as if you had lost your only son; when it ends it will indeed have been a bitter day.
