And the Lord asked me,“ What do you see, Amos?”“ A plumb line,” I replied. Then the Lord said,“ Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.

And the Lord said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I answered,“ A plumb line.” And the Lord replied,“ I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins.

And Jehovah said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb- line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb- line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more;

Yahweh said to me,“ Amos, what do you see?” I said,“ A plumb line.” Then the Lord said,“ Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.

耶和华问我：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一篮夏天的果子。”祂说：“我以色列子民的结局到了，我不会再饶恕他们。

耶和华决意拆毁锡安的城墙，祂拉了准线，定意毁灭，决不停止。祂使城墙和壁垒一同悲哀哭泣。

“人子啊，主耶和华对以色列这样说，‘结局到了，以色列全境的结局到了！以色列，你的结局到了，我的怒气必倾倒在你身上，我必按你的行为审判你，照你的一切恶行报应你。我必不顾惜你，也不怜悯你，我必按你的恶行报应你。这样，你必知道我是耶和华。’”主耶和华说：“看啊，灾祸来了，一场空前的灾祸来了！结局到了，结局到了，你的结局到了！以色列境内的居民啊，恶运降临了！时候已到，日子已近，山上一片恐慌，欢乐荡然无存。我快要向你倾倒我的烈怒，发出我的怒气。我必按你的行为审判你，照你一切的恶行报应你。我必不顾惜你，也不怜悯你，我必按你的恶行报应你。这样，你就知道惩罚你的是我耶和华。

你背弃我，远离我，因此我要伸手攻击你，毁灭你，不再怜悯你。这是耶和华说的。

我必以公平为准绳，以公义作线锤。冰雹必砸碎你们虚谎的庇护所，洪水必淹没你们的藏身处。

我要像惩罚撒玛利亚和亚哈家一样惩罚耶路撒冷。我要洁净耶路撒冷，就像人擦净盘子后倒扣过来。

祂必用滔滔洪水灭绝祂的敌人，把他们驱逐到黑暗中。尼尼微人啊，你们为何图谋抵挡耶和华？祂要彻底毁灭你们，无需击打两次。

耶和华又对我说：“耶利米，你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一根杏树枝。”耶和华说：“不错。我必实现我说过的话。”耶和华又对我说：“你看见什么？”我回答说：“我看见一锅煮沸的水，从北方倾倒下来。”

天使问我：“你看见什么？”我说：“我看见飞行的书卷，长十米，宽五米。”

有何神明像你一样赦免罪恶，饶恕你幸存子民的过犯？你不会永远发怒，因为你乐于施恩。
