Go to Kalneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Go and look at the city of Kalneh. Go from there to the great city of Hamath. Then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are those places better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?

Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,

But go over to Calneh and see what happened there. Then go to the great city of Hamath and down to the Philistine city of Gath. You are no better than they were, and look at how they were destroyed.

你能强过底比斯吗？底比斯位于尼罗河上，四面环水，水是她的屏障，又是她的城墙。

他首先在示拿地区的巴别、以力、亚甲、甲尼各地建国，

迦勒挪岂不是和迦基米施一样吗？哈马岂不是和亚珥拔一样吗？撒玛利亚岂不是和大马士革一样吗？它们不是都被我征服了吗？这些国家都在我的手中，他们雕刻的偶像不胜过耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像吗？我怎样毁灭撒玛利亚和它的偶像，也必怎样毁灭耶路撒冷和它的偶像。’”

不要让希西迦欺骗你们，以为耶和华必拯救你们。列国的神明中有哪个曾经从亚述王手中救他的国家呢？哈马和亚珥拔的神明在哪里呢？西法瓦音的神明在哪里呢？他们从我手中救撒玛利亚了吗？

他们正在交谈的时候，非利士军中的迦特人歌利亚出来像往常一样向以色列军骂阵，大卫都听见了。

亚述王把巴比伦、古他、亚瓦、哈马、西法瓦音等地的一些居民迁移到撒玛利亚各城，代替以色列人。

巴比伦人造疏割·比讷神像，古他人造匿甲神像，哈马人造亚示玛神像，

你们去对岸的基提看看，派人去基达仔细观察一下，看看有没有这样的事？虽然列国的神明根本不是真神，却没有一国更换自己的神明。但我的子民却把自己荣耀的上帝换作了无用的假神。

“人子啊，你要对埃及王法老和他的百姓说，“‘谁能比你强大呢？看啊，亚述曾是黎巴嫩的一棵香柏树，枝繁叶茂，遮天蔽日，高耸入云。

哈马王、亚珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王如今在哪里呢？”

所罗门和从哈马口直至埃及小河而来的全体以色列人聚成一大群会众，在我们的上帝耶和华面前守节期两周，共十四天。

我先祖毁灭了歌散、哈兰、利色和提·拉撒的伊甸人，这些国家的神明救得了他们吗？哈马王、亚珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王如今在哪里呢？”
