Horses don’t run on rocky ground. People don’t plow the sea with oxen. But you have turned fair treatment into poison. You have turned the fruit of right living into bitterness.

Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood—

Can horses gallop over boulders? Can oxen be used to plow them? But that’s how foolish you are when you turn justice into poison and the sweet fruit of righteousness into bitterness.

你们这些使正义变为苦艾、将公义丢弃在地的人啊，

你们践踏穷人，对他们横征暴敛。因此，你们用凿过的石头建房，却不得居住在里面；你们种植佳美的葡萄园，却喝不到葡萄酒。我知道你们的过犯众多、罪恶无数。你们迫害义人，收受贿赂，在城门口冤枉穷人。

他们却不理会，背过身去，充耳不闻，心如铁石，不遵从律法，也不遵从万军之耶和华借着祂的灵指示从前的先知所说的话。因此，万军之耶和华非常愤怒。

可是，你们种的是邪恶，收的是不义，吃的是谎言的果实。因为你们倚靠自己的力量，仰仗众多的勇士。

“你们这些顽固不化、耳不听心不悔的人，经常抗拒圣灵，所作所为和你们的祖先如出一辙！哪一位先知没有被你们祖先迫害？那些预言义者——弥赛亚要来的人也被你们的祖先杀害。如今你们竟出卖了那位公义者，杀害了祂！

你为何让我目睹罪恶？你为何容忍邪恶？我眼前尽是毁灭和暴力，到处是纷争和冲突。因此律法失效，正义不彰，恶人包围义人，正义被扭曲。

耶和华啊，你要的不是诚实吗？你责打他们，他们不感到疼痛；你严惩他们，他们仍不受教。他们屡教不改，脸比石头还硬。

借律例制造不幸的首领，岂能与你联盟？他们结党攻击义人，残害无辜。

风箱猛力吹火，铅也会熔掉；但他们被炼了又炼，终是徒然，因为他们的邪恶仍未除去。他们被称为废弃的银渣，因为耶和华已丢弃他们。”

他们善于作恶。领袖和审判官索要贿赂，显贵袒露心中的恶欲，朋比为奸。

我知道你顽梗，有铁一般的颈项，铜一般的额头。
